Qingdao International Sailing Center is located on the bank of Fushan Bay in Qingdao East New District. It was built on the original site after the relocation of Beihai Shipyard. The whole project has achieved market-oriented operation, and all facilities have fully considered the sustainable utilization after the game.
Qingdao International Sailing Center's supporting facilities for the Olympic Sailing Competition include: Olympic Village, Athletes Center, Administration Center, Venue Media Center, Logistics Support Center, and supporting facilities such as survey hall, land parking area, launching ramp, main breakwater, secondary breakwater, and Olympic memorial wall wharf.
Qingdao International Sailing Center was completed in 2006, which undertook the sailing competitions of the 29th Olympic Games and the 2nd Paralympics, meeting the needs of building Qingdao into a "sailing capital" and developing tourism after the games.
