Hou Fei (1964~) was born in Mengcheng. Senior painter, good at painting peony, peony is fresh and elegant. He has held solo exhibitions in Guangzhou and Foshan, and is known as the Peony King of the Central Plains. Member of China Poetry, Calligraphy and Printing Research Association, executive director of Chinese Painters Association, director of Chinese Painters Association, director of Anhui Flower and Bird Painters Association, director of Anhui Landscape Painters Association, and first-class artist of Anhui Chinese Painting Research Association. Specializing in flower and bird painting, especially peony, freehand brushwork and meticulous brushwork. His works have been exhibited and won prizes at home and abroad for many times, among which several peonies have been selected into the Dictionary of Modern Calligraphy and Painting Seal Makers in China. In 1984, a solo exhibition was successfully held. In 1991, "Spring Scenes" was exhibited in Shanghai and won the second prize. Some of his works have been published in China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper and Anhui Daily. His works have been selected for many national art exhibitions and sent to Japan, Nepal, Hong Kong and other places for exhibition, and published in Chinese Painting, People's Daily and Jiangxi Pictorial. Some of his works have won the second prize and excellent prize in the provincial art exhibition, and are collected by museums and memorial halls.
