The Chinese New Year is coming, and every household has a festive atmosphere. Everyone's schedule is full, and activities such as buying new year's goods, buying new clothes, eating a sumptuous New Year's Eve dinner, visiting relatives and friends, visiting temple fairs, playing mahjong, setting off fireworks and firecrackers are all coming one after another. In this small town, the atmosphere of the Spring Festival is getting stronger and stronger. Streets and alleys are decorated with lanterns, red lanterns and beautiful Chinese knots, as well as exquisite paper-cuts and written Spring Festival couplets made by many folk artists. The supermarket is crowded with people, and citizens have come out to do big shopping and buy all kinds of items needed for the New Year. It seems like a children's world, with all kinds of snacks, toys and clothes. On this day, adults will not refuse children's demands, and every child's face is filled with bright and happy smiles.
Go to dinner on New Year's Eve.
Every New Year's Eve, I always go back to my home and get together for dinner. On this day every year, our parents are always the busiest. They get up in the morning to buy food and choose vegetables without stopping. When it's time to eat, they are still busy in the kitchen, bringing steaming and delicious dishes to the table. They can't sit down and eat a little until we have eaten almost. After we finished eating, fireworks, large and small, were set off together, and they were busy cleaning up the dishes and chopsticks. Children will never grow up in the eyes of their parents. All parents in the world are trying their best to give their children the best, but the children are not always around. Thinking about this makes my heart sour. Therefore, every year when I come back, I cherish every minute with my parents and family.
Visit temple fairs and feel the southern religious customs.
Spring Festival Temple Fair is held every year, and this year is no exception. Temple fairs in many places are nothing more than tasting snacks and scouring things. It's very lively, and people come and go in the street. But the temple fair in our hometown is a religious "baptism". From the early morning of the first day of the lunar new year, people have been going to the temples on the mountain. People hope to win the first fragrance of the New Year and pray for the safety of their families. This religious belief has gradually faded in the eyes of young people nowadays, but there are still many young people in my hometown who go to the mountains to pray every year, so this custom has been preserved.
There are three main halls and three small halls in the temple, which are dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, Maitreya Buddha, Qitian Great Sage, Four Heavenly Kings and Eighteen Arhats respectively. People naturally come here to burn incense and worship Buddha, and they all look very pious. On the first day of the first month, the temple will provide free noodles. So after burning incense and worshipping Buddha, everyone will go to the canteen of the temple to eat a bowl of hot soup noodles. Naturally, many volunteers will go up the mountain to help on this day. This is a large temple fair held in our town.
