Splash lubrication means that the oil is stirred and splashed on the friction surface by the parts immersed in the oil pool or the oil slinger attached to the shaft. This is a widely used lubrication method for rolling bearing, gear transmission, worm transmission, chain transmission and cam in closed box. The immersion depth of parts is limited.
Matters needing attention in oil pool lubrication
It should be noted that the lubricating oil level should not be too high, otherwise the fuel consumption of the agitator will be too high, and the deposits such as abrasive chips in the oil pool will be brought into the bearing parts, causing wear.
The lubricating oil in the tank should always be kept clean, and the magnetic adsorber can be used in the oil pool to remove impurities and foreign bodies in time to reduce the occurrence of abrasive wear. In terms of structural design, the tank wall can be provided with an oil storage tank and a throttle opening leading to the bearing, so that the bearing is in a state similar to oil bath lubrication or dripping lubrication, which can supplement lubrication and prevent insufficient oil supply.
