The difference between food registration certificate and license:

1. Different objects;

2. Different applicable laws and regulations;

3. Different roles.

The registration certificate of small food shops is aimed at three small businesses, namely, small food workshops, small food shops and stalls, and the food business license is aimed at all food industry production and business activities. The registration certificate of small food stores is only applicable to local laws and regulations, and the food business license is applicable to the management of catering service license, which is a national law. Small workshops, small shops and stalls basically have no fixed legal location, and most of them do not have industrial and commercial business licenses. Food business licenses are only industry business licenses.

Article 61 of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China

When purchasing food additives, a food additive operator shall check the supplier's license and product conformity certificate according to law, truthfully record the name, specification, quantity, production date or batch number, shelf life, purchase date, supplier's name, address and contact information of the food additive, and keep relevant vouchers. The retention period of records and vouchers shall conform to the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 51 of this Law.
