1. Eliminate the trail of ants. Use the following methods to quickly eliminate the ant's trajectory, and at the same time kill the ants in the trajectory and prevent other ants from walking along this path again.
it is recommended to find out the entry point of the path first, and then make a barrier immediately. Vaseline, adhesive face-up tape or talcum powder can all be used as barriers. After the barrier is completed, the ants outside can't come in. Then choose one of the following methods to try and clear the ant track.
1) Dip a sponge in soapy water, wipe it all the way along the ant track, catch a line of ants, and wring out the sponge in the sewer. Soap it with soapy water to catch ants, and then screw it into the sewer until all the ants in the track are eliminated.
2) Spray a general cleaner or bleach on the ant track, and then wipe it off with a wet paper towel. It is also advisable to spray into the ant nest, but it is necessary to end all the ants in the nest, otherwise it will be self-defeating and the surviving ants will open up new nests.
2. Crush the "investigator". Every once in a while, the nest sends out ants who act alone to find food sources. If you see a lonely ant crawling leisurely on your coffee table, don't let it go home alive.
Because this ant can let the whole nest know where you spilled apple juice and where there is something delicious. If this scout ant comes home and brings a bunch of brothers, they will follow the scent trail in a row. Unless you are ready to trap them, you should kill them immediately.
3. Get rid of the ants in your pantry or all kinds of cupboards. You should put some tempting poison bait to make the ants run back to their nests with "trophies" in their arms. Mixing boric acid powder or borax with sugar water is the most common bait. Boric acid will damage the external surface of ants (when boric acid powder exists, it is similar to diatomite) and also damage the internal organs of ants (after being eaten). Use a glass of water, two cups of sugar and two tablespoons of boric acid to make bait.
1) Waiting for the first ants to appear. Don't use bait to attract a new batch of ants, otherwise it will attract a new batch of ants to nest. If there is an ant trail, put the bait next to it (don't put it on the trail, or it will interfere with their way home). You can also put the bait in a reliable place where ants gather in the pantry.
2) If you have pets and children (see the warning below), put the bait in the jam jar, and the ants will come to the jar to find food. Screw the lid tightly and seal it with transparent adhesive. Punch two or three holes in the lid to let ants pass through. Then apply a little non-toxic bait outside the jar to enhance the effect of attracting ants. If you are worried that the jar will fall down and the poisonous bait will leak out, put some cotton balls on the poisonous bait in the jar.
4. vacuum the ants. Sprinkle some talcum powder or diatomite and suck them into the vacuum bag with ants. Then throw it into the garbage you want to dispose of. This step is very important, because it can ensure that ants will not build another nest in the vacuum cleaner.
5. Make a mixed solution with external alcohol, detergent and water. Take a spray bottle, wash it thoroughly, pour in a spoonful of alcohol for external use and a spoonful and a half of detergent, add water and pour it 2.5 cm away from the bottle mouth, and cover it tightly. Shake the bottle to make it foam, and then you can use it! Because there is alcohol in the mixture, ants will hide far away.
6. Use a "deep-benefit" fumigator (or "smoke machine"). These can make ants extinct for six to eight months, but the disadvantage is that no matter where you use a fumigator, you have to stay away from here for hours or even days. You can look for product feedback of this kind of products online, and you can also consult your local home store.
if you are worried that this method uses potentially harmful substances, this method is not suitable for you. If you have children at home, you'd better not use this method, because the child's immune system is not fully developed.
