Qinglong Gorge is surrounded by green hills, and the air is fresh. When hiking in the mountains, you can also see the ancient Great Wall of Ming Dynasty along the way, which is a good place for Beijing citizens to have a leisure holiday. In addition to natural scenery, you can also participate in water games such as cruise ships, bumper boats and speedboats, and try bungee jumping and rock climbing for excitement.
There is a reservoir dam in Qinglong Gorge, which divides the whole scenic spot into two parts: Pinghu District of Gaoxia in the south and extreme sports venues on the east bank.
In the southern lake area, scenic spots offer many water sports. Visitors can swim on the water by cruise ship or speedboat and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the strait. They can also choose to chop bamboo or row boats by hand in shallow water, or play water games such as bumper boats and water walking balls. There is a swimming pool in the lake area in summer.
If you like exciting entertainment, go to the east bank of the scenic spot. There are extreme entertainment items such as bungee jumping, rock climbing and downhill in the east bank of Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area. Among them, the bungee jumping platform is about 60 meters away from the water surface and is one of the highest bungee jumping platforms in Beijing. The downhill slope is about 300 meters long and the drop is as high as 30 meters. Rock climbing is as high as 25 meters. These projects are very challenging and exciting.
Water sports and extreme entertainment in the scenic area need to be paid extra. The specific price can refer to official website:
In addition, you can walk along the hiking trail in Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area (or take the sightseeing cable car 10 minute) to reach Yuhuangtai, the highest peak in the scenic area. Along the way, you can enjoy the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty winding among the mountains. When the weather is fine, Huairou City and Miyun Reservoir can be seen from the top of the mountain.
There are accommodation and catering services in the scenic spot, but most tourists return to Beijing on the same day and do not stay in the scenic spot.
