Mcdonald's rule of free refills

I entered McDonald's through the trainee manager program of McDonald's, and I still know something about the operation problems at the grass-roots level. I feel it necessary to explain to my former employer.

Take coffee as an example. Coffee in McDonald's is sold all day and can be refilled free of charge, especially during the breakfast period, that is, from 5: 11 to 11: 31 in the morning (I don't know if there is any change at present), and refills will be placed on the counter. There are two pots on it, the red one is boiling water, the black one is coffee, and sugar and milk are placed in moderation.

Generally speaking, you can just go there for a refill during breakfast. Of course, if you have to ask a waiter to refill your glass, it's no problem. You have to find a waiter for refills at other times. Moreover, every waiter has been trained to tell them clearly that coffee refills are free and there is no limit on the number of times. There was an international student and an elderly man in the restaurant where I used to work. They came for breakfast at about six o'clock every day and left at about ten o'clock. There were no fewer than five refills, and each time they took away some sugar milk. Often, the two of them could use up the coffee and sugar milk at the refilling place. At first, I was not used to this way, but after I received the training, I knew that this was a promise given by McDonald's, and even if you drank for one day, you would get a refill.

digress, get back to the point. It is very normal to check the receipt, especially in the shops of transportation hubs or large shopping malls. Because of the large flow of people, many guests are not familiar with it like community stores. Of course, if you insist that the receipt has been lost or not given to you at that time, the waiter will eventually give you a refill. Here is an explanation of why checking receipts is a normal behavior. There is definitely only one kind of beverage that McDonald's can refill, but the cups of many drinks are universal, such as hot Qiao, black tea, soybean milk and milk tea. Most of the time, guests don't understand. They think that no matter what kind of drinks they buy, they can renew their coffee. Therefore, checking the receipt is to confirm what kind of drinks you have consumed and to inform them that if you want to renew your coffee, you can buy coffee. (Of course, there are indeed customers who insist that they buy coffee and ask for refills when they clearly buy other drinks, and restaurants often give refills.

By the way, in fact, black tea can be refilled in theory, because black tea is brewed with tea bags, so you can just ask the waiter to heat the water for you.) Speaking of this, many friends may think that as a well-known enterprise, how can they doubt the integrity of customers? Let me give you a simple example. You buy a Big Mac, but you don't eat cheeses, but you forget to tell the waiter. When you get a hamburger, you find that there are cheeses, so you go to the counter and ask for a new one, and insist that you did (even if you don't insist). Basically, you will get a re-made hamburger, and the one you don't want will be discarded (note that it won't be resold).

at this time, no one will feel how honest and considerate McDonald's is, but only that it should be. But if, on the other hand, you are not replaced, not only the parties, but many people will think that the store is bullying customers. In fact, your deal with McDonald's has been completed, you got your food, and McDonald's took your money. At this time, you have to say that McDonald's didn't give you the food you wanted. According to the general principle of civil legal relations, whoever asks for proof must prove that you really said how to make hamburgers, and your meaning was received by the waiter (for example, you chatted with your partner about how to make them special but didn't tell the waiter).

if you can't prove it, it's a pity, at least I don't owe you anything legally, and I don't need to change it for you. Therefore, please pay special attention to one thing. It is for business image, not obligation. Not only McDonald's, but also any company has no obligation to trust the morality and personality of consumers.

digress again, and get back to the subject. The real iced coffee is made of coffee+ice+syrup, and I think the iced coffee mentioned by the subject should be ordinary coffee because the employee neglected to put it on the heater and cooled it (of course, this is very unprofessional), not because the employee deliberately caused you trouble, because the making process of iced coffee is more complicated, and the employee will not deliberately bother himself. As for the complaint problem you mentioned, it's actually very simple. Just tell the staff directly that it's good to let the manager on duty come out. Often, the manager's office and the counter of McDonald's are very close, and if anything happens, someone will come out soon (it is not excluded that some restaurants are far apart). Then you can report your problems to the manager on duty. At this time, I believe a cup of hot coffee will be delivered to you soon. And I'm sure you won't encounter any coffee problems in this store in the future. By the way, the coffee sold at the counter is indeed printed with McCafe on the cup, but this is not the same thing as McDonald's McCafe, which specializes in coffee and desserts. There is no refill for coffee.
