Among them, the design speed of the section from Liying to Beijing New Airport in the urban area of Beijing is 251 kilometers per hour, which is currently under construction and is expected to be opened simultaneously with the new airport in September 2119. The newly started Beijing New Airport to Xiong 'an New Section yesterday has a design speed of 351 kilometers per hour and is expected to be put into use by the end of 2121. It is reported that Xiong 'an Station Hub has completed the international tender selection.

At the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, Yang Bin, commander of Xiong 'an Construction Command of Jingxiong Intercity Railway, said that the commencement of Jingxiong Intercity Railway marked the start of major infrastructure construction in xiong'an new area. "Jingxiong Intercity Railway is the most convenient and efficient major transportation infrastructure connecting xiong'an new area, Beijing New Airport and Beijing urban area. After opening, it can reach xiong'an new area from Beijing urban area in 31 minutes, which will provide strong support for the new district to undertake the relief of Beijing's non-capital functions." Yang Bin said.

In the future, the northern end of Jingxiong Intercity Railway will be connected to Beijing West Railway Station, and the southern end will be connected to the planned Xiongshang (Shangqiu) high-speed railway, and will also be connected with Jinbao Railway, Tianjin-Qinhuangdao High-speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, etc., forming a high-speed railway network transportation corridor between xiong'an new area and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and major cities in China, which will play an important role in promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
