The selection standard of etiquette personnel for Beijing Winter Olympics is to provide voluntary service for Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games. Have the basic knowledge and skills required for volunteer service positions, be able to communicate in Chinese or English, take part in pre-competition training seriously, and provide volunteer service to meet the operational needs of Beijing Winter Olympics or Paralympic Winter Games.

Characteristics of etiquette personnel selection in Beijing Winter Olympics

Games-time volunteers can be divided into two categories: general volunteers and professional volunteers. Among them, professional purpose volunteers refer to those who have the professional knowledge, skills and experience required for volunteer service during the Games-time and can provide professional services, including but not limited to language services, medical services and driving services. Except for professional purpose volunteers, all volunteers are general purpose volunteers.

During the Games, volunteers will provide volunteer services for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games, which are distributed in Zhangjiakou Division and other places and facilities in Yanqing Division, Beijing. Services include 12 external liaison services, competition operation services, media operation and broadcasting services, venue operation services, market development services, human resources services, technical operation services, cultural exhibition services, games-time comprehensive services, security services and transportation services.
