One day, Zen master Weishan told him that all your knowledge is the foundation of wandering life and death. If you don't solve the problem, I ask you what your true colors were before your parents were born.

? Master Xiang Yan was at a loss and went back to his residence to rummage through what he had learned without an answer. Therefore, knowing that painting cakes can't satisfy hunger, I burned all the words at hand and vowed not to learn Buddhism.

"Forget what you know with one blow, and it's even more true to practice." The sound of a single blow completely melts away everything you know, not to mention the need to practice precepts under the guise of practice.

why is it so important to "forget what you know"?

It turns out that our true colors are invisible, silent and pure, and have the function of knowing. People don't know it because they are confused by what they know, mistaking what they know for themselves and becoming upside down beings.

if we forget what we know, we can know it or not, and what remains is the only thing that is invisible, silent and pure, and that is our true colors. Only by proving this can we reverse our wrong cognition and be ourselves.

Forgetting what you know, that is, breaking the barrier of what you know, is really a necessary homework for practitioners, which is extremely important.

"Move the ancient road, don't fall into the quiet opportunity." Even if you move your face and blink your eyes, it is the function and development of that avenue since the beginning, and the avenue will not only fall on the silent side.

It is proved that the true nature of the self is pure, has no birth and death, and is unshakable. In a Zen case, it is called "clear mind and see nature".

here, I realized that the self-mind is the source of all laws, and the birth and death of all laws and the quiet self-mind that is immortal and immortal coexist and go hand in hand.

The so-called "Yin and Yang" is the Tao, where quietness is Yin, movement is Yang, quietness does not show, and movement does not stand. Standing on the pure heart and watching all the movements is nothing more than sincere use.

"there is no trace everywhere, and the sound is beyond prestige." All places leave no trace; It is the real dignity beyond the sound.

Being detached from one's heart, color and phase, spotless, without a law, boundless, without an inside or an outside, immortal, and without a place to live, it is majestic and incomparable.

Here we see the mentality of Zen master Xiang Yan after he realized the Tao. Do everything like painting on the water, leaving no trace in your heart, walking, sitting and lying down, with peace of mind, everything is clear and free.

"Those who are well versed in the Tao will get on the plane." ? People who have access to the avenue from all directions say that this is the most incomparable mystery in the world.

this is "forgetting what you know" when you get on the computer? After that, the dharma state of "no trace everywhere, no prestige outside the sound" can be proved, and as the Heart Sutra says, it can be seen that all the five aggregates are empty and all the sufferings are spent.

there is nothing better than leaving this shore and boarding the other shore.
