Haihua College of Liaoning Normal University was established with the approval of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education in July 2000, and was first approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2003 to be organized by Liaoning Normal University according to the new mechanism and mode. There are more than 7,400 students, the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 25193,000 yuan, and the library has 400,000 books.
In recent years, teachers have made great achievements in scientific research. It has successively obtained 158 scientific research, teaching and research projects of Liaoning Social Science Fund and other provinces and cities, 52 college-level projects, published more than 80 textbooks and monographs, published more than 740 academic papers, obtained 3 patents for utility models in China National Intellectual Property Administration, and realized 2 scientific and technological achievements transformation.
College library, reading room, multimedia classroom, computer laboratory, voice laboratory, mock trial, accounting professional laboratory, studio, photography laboratory and other teaching infrastructure are first-class. Stadium, lawn football field, basketball court, badminton court and other sports facilities are complete. Student apartments, dining centers, bath centers and other living facilities are complete and well-served.
The college has five disciplines, such as law, literature, engineering, management and art, and has now opened 14 undergraduate majors: journalism, law, Chinese language and literature, advertising, network and new media technology, English, Japanese, tourism management, accounting, library science, digital media technology and computer science and technology, visual communication design, and environmental design (art major).
