General Rules for Labeling in prepackaged foods

this standard applies to prepackaged foods labels directly provided to consumers and prepackaged foods labels indirectly provided to consumers. This standard does not apply to the labels of food storage, transportation and packaging, labels of bulk food and ready-made and ready-to-sell food that provide protection for prepackaged foods during storage and transportation.

this standard replaces GB 7718-2114 "General Rules for Labeling in prepackaged foods". This standard applies to prepackaged foods labels directly provided to consumers and prepackaged foods labels indirectly provided to consumers. This standard does not apply to the labels of food storage, transportation and packaging, labels of bulk food and ready-made and ready-to-sell food that provide protection for prepackaged foods during storage and transportation.

The following situations need to be filed in prepackaged foods

1. Those who used to be in the pre-packaging industry and have obtained the food business license do not need to file again;

2. If the food business license is within the validity period, there is no need to file it;

3. After prepackaged foods obtains the record, if other food items are added, it is necessary to apply for a food business license and cancel the record.

A food business license is required in the following situations

1. Bulk food sales (including or excluding frozen food), such as snacks by the catty;

2. Special food sales (health food, baby milk powder, etc.);

3. Classification of catering service operators selling other kinds of food;

4. Manufacture and sale of cooked food (such as fast food and stir-fry);

5. Manufacturing and selling cold food (such as cold dishes and braised dishes);

6. Manufacture and sale of raw food (such as fruit);

7. Manufacture and sale of pastry foods (such as biscuits, bread and cakes);

8. Making and selling homemade drinks (such as homemade juice and milk tea);

9, other kinds of food production and sales, etc.
