Cow dung treatment

1. Extracting organic methane from cow dung as automobile power.

With the rising price of oil, scientists all over the world are trying to find energy sources to replace oil. Western Washington University recently developed cow dung instead of gasoline, which is economical and environmentally friendly. The country extracts organic methane from cow dung as the power source of automobiles, and its production cost is only half that of gasoline. The production process of organic methane is nearly half cheaper than the cost of producing oil, and this gas has no taste and emits less carbon dioxide, which is more environmentally friendly and economical than gasoline. Organic methane extracted from cow dung can be added to any vehicle powered by natural gas. The feces produced by each cow every day can run a car for 24 kilometers.

2. Using cow dung to produce biogas and generate electricity.

A pasture biogas demonstration project in Shandong Province is the first batch of standardized large-scale biogas power generation energy environmental protection demonstration projects approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, with a total investment of more than 3 million yuan. The average daily biogas production is 2400 cubic meters, and the daily power generation is 2880 degrees. The annual biogas production is 864,000 cubic meters, and the annual power generation is 654.38+0.036 million degrees. At the same time, it realizes the recycling of sewage and the zero discharge of sewage. The utilization of biogas helps to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and plays a great role in protecting the environment and ensuring that the blue sky and green water are not polluted.

With the large-scale biogas power generation project in dairy farm officially put into use, cow dung 100 tons will be treated every day, and the power generation will exceed 1500 kwh. This power generation project will generate 500,000 kWh of electricity every year, which is enough to supply the daily electricity for the whole farm and dairy farm. At the same time, the project will produce 2000 tons of biogas slurry and biogas residue. After being made into mixed fertilizer, the annual economic benefit is 400,000 yuan. The cow dung power generation project broadens the diversified development path of farms and enhances the economic strength of enterprises.

3. Using cow dung to breed earthworm industry.

The data show that dry cow dung contains crude protein 10% ~ 20%, crude fat 1% ~ 3%, nitrogen-free extract 20% ~ 30%, crude fiber 15% ~ 30%, and 70% of crude protein in cow dung can be used by monogastric animals. A breeding factory in Ningxia uses cow dung to raise earthworms, with an annual output value of150,000 yuan. The number of cows and beef cattle in this county has reached more than 654.38 million. The treatment of cow dung has become a headache for farmers. In 2006, Yongning County Science and Technology Commissioner established Sanding Earthworm Breeding Factory covering an area of 500 mu in Jingyi Village, Wang Hong Town, and used fermented cow dung to breed earthworms, thus forming a new ecological agriculture model with "earthworm industrial chain" as the core. It is reported that earthworms can be used as poultry feed, health care products and medicinal materials; Earthworm dung can be made into active compound fertilizer and returned to the field as fertilizer for planting vegetables, fruit trees, flowers, grain and other crops.

Step 4 "heat" the pasture with cow dung

A pasture in Harbin uses the manure produced by 500 cows as heating fuel, which can save nearly 1,000 tons of coal every year and solve the headache problem of cow dung pollution.

The harmless treatment project of 2000 tons of cow dung has achieved good economic and social benefits since it was put into operation last year. Harbin thoroughbred cow breeding center, a project implementation enterprise, raises more than 500 cows and produces nearly 30 tons of feces every day, which not only causes serious pollution to pasture and surrounding environment, but also brings difficulties to field epidemic prevention. To this end, in recent years, the enterprise has cooperated with an environmental protection equipment company in our city to develop cow dung treatment equipment. With the support of the Agricultural Development Fund, the project has been industrialized. Cow dung is made into solid biomass fuel, which is not limited by seasonal factors. This fuel is made by air-drying cow dung, drying it in a dryer, and adding combustion improver and adhesive. According to the test, the average heat of cow dung fuel combustion can reach 4000 calories. At present, the pasture can handle 75 tons of cow dung and produce 25 tons of solid fuel every day, which meets the needs of production and heating fuel in some family areas. Small factories, bathing places, schools and farmers around the pasture also use a considerable amount, saving nearly 1000 tons of coal every year.

5, cow dung fermentation cultivation of edible fungi

Cow dung is rich in organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other elements. After adding certain auxiliary materials (such as straw, straw, etc.). ) fermentation can cultivate edible fungi: a large amount of cow dung is concentrated and dried, crop straw is crushed and mixed with cow dung. Adding straw or straw with high carbon content to livestock manure to adjust C/N, adding appropriate amount of inorganic fertilizer and gypsum, and fermenting to obtain edible fungus culture medium. After subpackaging, sterilization and cooling, the culture medium was inoculated with edible fungi for culture, and finally the edible fungi were cultivated.

There are a lot of cow dung in dairy farms, and piling it up can't solve the pollution problem (euphemistically called compost fermentation). It is necessary for cattle owners and relevant departments to pay enough attention, make use of local resources and adopt effective mechanisms to effectively turn cow dung into treasure, thus opening up new ideas for resource utilization and environmental protection.
