Is there a cave in Nanjing Purple Mountain? What time?
There are two caves on the Purple Mountain, but they are not deep, about 10 meter. First, it is near the Zijinshan cableway station, which is unknown, and goes up along the wooden plank road from Baima Park. At the ropeway station, you can see a cave on the lower left, which may have been dug manually. Secondly, Toutuoling Park Park, located at the top of Purple Mountain, is called "Liu Jidong", with a depth of10m. But this cave is quite famous. According to folklore, when the Ming Dynasty was founded, Liu Ji (that is, Liu Bowen) lived in this cave in order to avoid the persecution of Zhu Yuanzhang. See map:
