Twelve dishes mean twelve months a year, four bowls represent four seasons to get rich, and eight dishes are homophonic, meaning wealth. There is meat to eat every month, and the days are getting better every day. Four bowls: crispy pork floss, stewed fungus with ribs, big red meat and braised vermicelli. Big red meat is an indispensable part of Naxi banquet. They are all diced with pork belly about 5 cm square, put into an edible Redmi, and stewed in a large pot with a small fire. The color is rosy, oily but not greasy. Crispy meat is almost made of lean pork, cut into small pieces, wrapped in the paste mixed with egg powder, fried in oil pan until golden brown, cooled and simmered in a large pot. Big red meat and crispy meat symbolize happiness and wealth. Black and white spareribs and braised fungus. Braised vermicelli is usually made into a hat with a little leek and ham foam, which symbolizes that the young couple will grow old together in the future. These four bowls of dishes are for the wedding reception. The remaining eight dishes: salted duck eggs, ham, hot and sour fish made by local crucian carp, pork liver salad, lily Zi Yuan, and eight-treasure rice, are also the most distinctive dishes at the wedding banquet, and are almost one of the fixed recipes. The other two dishes, depending on the season and market supply and demand, are usually a bunch of meat, a fried chicken wing or a fried milk fan.
