Material preparation:
Stone clay: You can buy it in art shops or online.
Knife: such as scissors, a knife or a meat cleaver.
Water: used to adjust the softness of clay.
Desktop protection pad: used to protect the desktop.
Optional: decorative materials such as brushes, pigments and brighteners.
Steps:
Preparation: Put a protective pad on the countertop to ensure enough clean space. Open the stone plastic clay and knead it until it becomes soft and easy to handle.
Create shapes: Divide clay into desired shapes and sizes. You can realize your design idea by cutting and carving with a knife. If you want to make animals, flowers or other complex shapes, you can use reference pictures or models.
Detail processing: Once you have finished the shape, you can use knives and other gadgets to add details. You can describe the characteristics of eyes, nose and mouth. Remember to operate carefully to avoid damaging the shape.
Trim and smooth: pat or smooth the surface gently with wet fingers or a wet sponge to make the shape smoother. This also helps to eliminate the unevenness of clay surface.
Drying and hardening: after molding, put it in a well-ventilated place and let it dry and harden naturally. The hardening time depends on the size and complexity of the shape. Follow the instructions on the clay package for the best results.
Decoration: once the shapes are completely dry, you can use decorative materials, such as brushes, pigments and brighteners, to add color and luster to them. You can make your work more vivid and attractive by adding details and special effects.
Maintenance: Stone and clay sculptures are usually fragile, so please protect them carefully. Avoid exposing them to high temperature, direct sunlight or humid environment to prolong their life.
