1, planting time:
The sowing date of southern Chinese kale in China is February-March in spring and September in autumn. Sometimes there is a strong frost in winter, so it is necessary to do a good job of frost prevention.
The hot weather in summer is not suitable for planting, but the kale that can be planted is also very poor, and the quality and yield can't keep up. It is cold in the north, so it should be planted according to the ambient temperature.
2. Sowing and seedling raising:
Generally, Chinese kale is planted first and then transplanted, with about 100g seeds per mu. Choose nursery land with the area above 10 square meter, and the nursery land in the open field should be sterile and egg-free, and the plot should be dried in the sun. Dry straw can be covered with a layer, and once burned, it can meet the requirements of fire ash soil. Firefly ash soil can not only prevent diseases and insects, but also be a good fertilizer.
Sprinkle 200 kg of decomposed farmyard manure, then break it and level it, evenly sprinkle the seeds into the soil and water it once until the soil is wet. The seedling age is 20-30 days, and no fertilization is needed at the seedling stage. Water the soil when it is dry, and water it once after emergence, so as to reduce the overgrown seedlings.
3. Land selection and cultivation:
Choose a field with high terrain and water and fertilizer conservation, plow ahead of time, and kill the protozoa contained in the soil through sunlight. Before planting, carefully prepare the soil, put 2.5 tons of decomposed manure and soil miscellaneous fertilizer and 50 kilograms of calcium superphosphate into the soil, and beat the soil and fertilizer evenly with agricultural machinery to make a flat plot.
4. Transplanting and planting:
Four true leaves of Chinese kale seedlings can be transplanted to the field for planting. After the seedlings are raised, water them once. When using roots and soil to raise seedlings, you should handle them with care. Generally, it is planted at five o'clock in the afternoon, with a spacing of 20 cm and a row spacing of 30 cm, with about 9000 plants per mu.
Water the root after planting. The soil must be kept moist when planting, and the watering times should be reduced after the growth is stable. Water should be poured every 3-5 days in rainy weather.
5, chasing water and fertilizer:
The Chinese kale can be harvested after topdressing for 2-3 times in the whole growth period. In terms of water content, water will be increased in the medium term, drainage will be done in rainy days, and water will be poured every three days in rainy days. Topdressing with NPK compound fertilizer, 20 kg water per mu, topdressing once every 20 days or so. Can be used with farm manure and water, and the effect is better.
Farmers who grow less, like us, keep their own food and pour more decomposed manure and residue, and their output is no worse than that of chemical fertilizer. Intertillage weeding is also an essential work, which is generally combined with fertilization.
6. Prevention of pests and diseases:
There are few diseases and insect pests in kale. The main sources of pests and diseases are high temperature and high humidity, too dense planting density, no ventilation and light, and no early sun turning, which will cause pests and diseases. The best way to prevent pests and diseases is to do these things well.
The kale grown in my family has never been sprayed with pesticides before. This is a pure natural vegetable. If you are really worried, you can spray chlorothalonil and trichlorfon twice once a week. Please use it according to the proportion specified by the manufacturer.
7. Harvest:
The early, middle and late ripening of Chinese kale varieties, as well as personal management, are all related to weather changes, and the harvesting time is different. Cabbage is mainly harvested with tender stems. Generally, it can be harvested when the succulent stems are parallel to the leaves, or it can be harvested immediately when the flowers are seen. When harvesting, choose a sunny morning. After harvesting, Chinese cabbage can continue to grow tender stems, which can be harvested several times in a row. At this time, you can apply some fertilizer in moderation.
