Herpetic angina in children is caused by Coxsackie A virus, which occurs in summer and autumn and is a common viral pharyngitis.
Often secondary to acute rhinitis, pneumonia, influenza, malaria, epidemic meningitis, can also occur alone, in addition to the pharynx, oral mucosa can also occur herpes. Herpes angina in children often has no systemic symptoms if it occurs alone.
Pharyngeal pain affects swallowing. Infants and young children are sick, often manifested as crying when eating, unwilling to eat, swollen and tender submandibular lymph nodes, and sometimes accompanied by fever. The examination of pharyngeal herpes mostly occurs in soft palate, uvula and glossopharyngeal arch, showing a linear distribution.
At first, it was a small blister, but it soon broke, so there was usually no herpes, only a shallow remnant, a yellowish or white false membrane on the surface, and bright red congestion on the surrounding mucosa.
2. There are 10 children suffering from herpetic angina in kindergarten. How does the Health Bureau handle this kind of kindergarten?
Herpes pharyngitis is prevalent in the early stage, and the disease is highly contagious. At present, thousands of children have been treated in children's hospitals and children's research institutes. Both this disease and hand, foot and mouth disease are caused by enterovirus, and the symptoms are similar to those of hand, foot and mouth disease. It is also a needle-like herpetic ulcer in the mouth and throat, but there is no herpes on hands, feet and buttocks.
The main symptoms of the disease are sudden onset, high fever, sore throat, irritability, salivation, anorexia, vomiting, general malaise and convulsions. If the disease occurs alone, there are often no systemic symptoms, and infants often cry and don't want to eat when eating.
Examination showed that the pharynx was congested, and several to dozens of gray-white herpes with a size of 2~4mm were seen on the mucosa of pharynx, palatal arch, soft palate and uvula, with flushing around. 1~2 days later, it will rupture to form a small ulcer, and the surface will be covered with a yellowish or white false film. Herpes may also occur in other parts of the mouth.
There may be submandibular lymph node enlargement with tenderness. The course of disease is about 1 week.
