The Confucius Temple buildings in Qufu include Confucius House, Confucius Temple and Confucius Forest. Since the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty, imperial academy has been a place for the royal sacrifice to Confucius, where the emperor performed etiquette and missionary work on behalf of the country, but it does not belong to the Confucius Temple complex.

Confucius Temple was built in 1302. When the Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty entered Beijing, the capital of the Central Plains, he planned the Confucius Temple in the area east of Andingmennei Street, west of Yonghegong Street and south of Fang Jia Hutong.
