Text/the first drop of dew
Jia Yucun is not the main character in A Dream of Red Mansions, but he is an important character. At the beginning of the Red Chamber, he and Zhen were in opposition. One stands for "the truth is hidden" and the other is a metaphor "the existence of function words", which are two characters in the book. They started the chapter describing real life in A Dream of Red Mansions and will end it. Unfortunately, we can't see the real ending written by Cao Xueqin, and we don't know what kind of ending this is.
When Jia Yucun appeared, he left a deep impression on people. Mr. Cao Xueqin is generous with Yucun's pen and ink. He made it clear from the beginning that Yucun's surname is Jia Minghua (homophonic fake) and the word (homophonic fake) is also another name for Yucun. He is also a scholar and an official, but his family is declining. He is going to Beijing to catch the exam and has no money, so he has to live in Hulu Temple. His life story begins from this moment.
In ancient books and operas, it is easy to enter the face when describing the bad guys. When it comes to "bad guys", perhaps the image of a rat's head and a sly smile will immediately appear before our eyes, but Jia Yucun described by Cao Xueqin makes people shine at the moment. In A Dream of Red Mansions, the author seldom describes the characters in detail. Only Baoyu, Daiyu and Xifeng can enjoy this honor. Secondly, this is Jia Yucun. Let's see how the author describes Yucun. Instead of writing directly, he wrote through the eyes of a maid in Zhen's family: "Although I was poor and embarrassed, I was born with a round back, a wide mouth, eyebrows and eyes like knives, and a straight nose and cheeks." It turned out to be a handsome guy, but not a handsome guy with a weak and beautiful style, but a tall and heroic figure. No wonder Ya Xing took a fancy to him at a glance and looked back at him twice.
On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, Zhen invited him to have supper and enjoy the moon. Jia Yucun felt the maid's green eyes and blurted out a poem, expressing his unfulfilled ambition and adding emotional sadness. He also sang a meaningful couplet: jade asks for a good price in the urn, and women wait to fly in the urn. According to the word "Chai" in this couplet and the name "Shi Fei" in Yucun, some people speculate that this couplet is a metaphor. In the end, Xue Baochai married Jia Yucun. I think this statement is ridiculous, and the brain hole is too big. Speaking of the poems written by Yucun in front of us, the meaning of this couplet is obvious: the first couplet laments Yucun herself, who has great ambitions all her life, but her fate is too great to meet each other, while the second couplet misses Jia Zhen, who loves her so much, and hopes that she can wait for the opportunity to marry herself. Because Yucun is a clue in the book, this couplet is also a hint from Cao Xueqin to readers. Next, Daiyu and Baochai will appear.
The talent to be said is really extraordinary. When drinking with Zhen, he kept his mouth shut: every Wednesday and Friday, the jade fence is full of sunshine. It took a turn in the sky to get out, and all the surnames in the world looked up. This poem is ambitious. Yucun is really not a thing in the pool. Really moved by Yucun's poems, he immediately ordered his family to bring five hundred and twenty pieces of silver and two sets of winter clothes to Yucun to take the exam in Beijing. Yucun took the silver coat, "but I don't mind a word of thanks, and I still eat wine and laugh." Every time I read this sentence, I can't help but be moved by Jia Yucun's open-mindedness and freedom. Imagine being a poor scholar. In the face of this timely gift, he had already been moved to his knees and cried and vowed to repay him later. The author's few words let us see an extraordinary scholar.
After Jia Yucun entered Beijing, he was admitted to Jinshi and was soon promoted to magistrate. But less than a year later, he was bullied by his superiors because he was cruel and greedy for money, and was accused by his boss of being black and dismissed. It can be seen from here that there are still some scholars who are arrogant in Yucun at this time. After Yucun was removed from office, he didn't drown his sorrows by drinking, nor did he sigh. Although he felt ashamed and resentful in his heart, there was no resentment on his face and he was still smiling. First, I will take care of my business, then I will send my little wealth back to my hometown, and then I will start traveling around the world. After reading this, I really admire Yucun's mind and mentality. Not depressed when frustrated, but in the mood to travel around. It's so chic! When I first read A Dream of Red Mansions, until I saw it here, I always thought Yucun was a "noble man", brilliant and broad-minded.
But looking back, Yucun's deep, speculative, selfish, greedy, heartless, hypocritical and ungrateful nature will emerge one by one.
Jia Yucun travels around, not only for fun, but also to find a chance to make a comeback. You see, when he was in Jinling City, he applied to be a teacher at Zhen's home. This Jiangnan Zhen family was also written by Cao Xueqin. Compared with the Jia family, it is richer than the second house. Jia Yucun's application to be a governess in his family has ulterior motives. Unfortunately, Zhen Baoyu was stubborn and Yucun was humiliated and resigned. After he came out, he must have asked around again and found out what high officials and dignitaries were nearby, so he found out Lin Ruhai's family background-Salt Supervisor, and then he went to Yangzhou Lins and became Lin Daiyu's teacher. As a teacher for Daiyu for more than a year, as expected, he was well received by the Lins. Lin Ruhai borrowed her mother-in-law to take her daughter to Kyoto, invited Yucun to go with her, and wrote a letter of recommendation to her brother-in-law, Jia Zheng, to help Yucun get reinstated. If Yucun is really a "heartthrob", everyone will be fooled when they see him. Then Jia Zheng fell in love with Yucun at first sight, and tried his best to help Yucun under the recommendation of his brother-in-law. Yucun was easily reinstated and went to Jinling to be a Tianfu magistrate.
When I arrived in Yingtianfu, the first case tried was the case of Xue Pan killing Feng Yuan. Yucun pretended to be a good officer at first, but after hearing these words, he immediately turned over and arbitrarily sentenced the case, and did not forget to write two letters to Jia Zheng and Wang Ziteng for credit. The key figure in this case, the abducted woman, is her own daughter who is very kind to her. So Jia Yucun watched Lian Win being snatched away by Xue Pan, but he didn't help the benefactor find his lost daughter. His callousness and ingratitude can be seen from this.
Jia Yucun led to the appearance of Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochai. At this point, his cross-line task has come to an end temporarily, and he did not make a positive appearance for the first 80 times. However, in many chapters, he can always be vaguely seen.
In the 16th session, Lin Daiyu buried her father and returned to Beijing. Jia Yucun took her and Jia Lian to Beijing. It turns out that Xue Pan's uncle (also Baoyu's uncle) Wang Ziteng recommended him many times. This time he came to fill the vacancy in Beijing, and Jia Yucun finally succeeded in climbing the branches of Jia Jia and Wang Jia. At this time, it was Yuan Chun who had just been canonized as an imperial concubine, and Jia Jia's prestige was in full swing.
Back to the 32nd, Jia Yucun said he wanted to see Jia Baoyu. Baoyu hates Yucun and won't comment. Shi Xiangyun kindly advised him, but he was ridiculed by Baoyu. Jia Zheng and others were fooled by the appearance of Yucun. Why can Baoyu feel that he is in favor of the situation and seeks fame? Because Baoyu grew up in a group of girls, girls are made of water, and Baoyu is influenced by girls who lead an honest and clean life, which has long been different from secular things. As soon as the sensitive Baoyu comes into contact with a man, he can immediately recognize his essence. Alas, Jia Zheng couldn't understand the true face of Yucun, because Baoyu was angry when he saw Yucun's mess.
The forty-eighth time, Jia She borrowed Pinger's mouth, took a fancy to twenty rare fans of a man named Shi Dun, and ordered Jia Lian to get them. Jia Lian paid a high price, but the stone pier was not for sale. As a result, Jia Yucun found out, so he tried to correct Shi Dun's default on official silver. He took Shi Dun into custody, copied his fan and sold it to Jia She at the official price. This rain village really kills two birds with one stone. Both please Jia She and earn money without conscience. Even Jia Lian thinks Yucun is too cruel. For a little thing, he made people unemployed, and most stone nerds died. How Pinger learned about these external things is naturally what Jia Lian said. Jia Lian also lamented how many things have happened in less than ten years since Yucun and Jia Jiacheng agreed with the Sect! Through this incident, in a word, you can imagine how many bad things Yucun has done.
At the beginning of fifty-three, Chuan was promoted to the governor of nine provinces, and Fu was appointed as the deputy military aircraft counselor. Yucun, with his own speculative gaining, with the help of Jia She, Jia Zheng and Wang Ziteng, actually entered the army and became an important official of the imperial court! I have to say that this Jia Yucun is really a person who is good at taking advantage of the situation and walking around. At this time, Jia Fu's appearance is full of flowers, but in fact, he is already poor at heart, just because the imperial concubine is still there, so he can barely support it.
Yucun's last appearance in the first eighty chapters was in the seventy-second chapter. The Jia family at this time is already struggling to maintain. The housekeeper Lin Zhixiao discussed with Jia Lian to reduce the population, and then Lin Zhixiao mentioned Jia Yucun, saying that he was demoted. Jia Lian said that his immortality may not last long. If something happens in the future, it may not be inconvenient for us. Better stay away from him. Lin zhixiao said, isn't it? It's just hard to alienate, because Jia Zhen and Jia Zheng, the lords of the Jia family, like Yucun as possessed. Jia Lian is the most learned man in the Jia family. Unfortunately, he also indulges in debauchery, makes no progress, and is unable and unwilling to save Jia's decline.
We might as well speculate on the plot after the 1980 s. Why was Yucun demoted? In Jia Xue's four families, he is the most important official, and Yucun also supports each other. It is said that Yucun fell, and I'm afraid Wang Ziteng also fell, because no one has seen Wang Ziteng since then. What will Yucun do after being demoted? As a man, he must be looking for a chance to turn over. If Wang Ziteng falls, the four families will undoubtedly fall apart next spring. In order to make a comeback, Yucun will definitely hit a person when he is down, pushing the Jia family to the forefront. He and the Jia family have been going back and forth for many years, and those fools trust him so much that they must have mastered many political secrets and evidence of corruption, which are enough for Jia Yucun to send them to the guillotine.
What was Jia Yucun's ultimate fate when the four families fell apart in the destruction of imperial power? The apprentice is only temporary, and in the end it is just a lock.
Jia Yucun, like a ghost with a cold face, witnessed the important events of Guo Rongfu again and again, witnessed the prosperity and glory of Jia Fu, and set foot again when Jia Fu declined, which accelerated the process of its demise. He, a person, strung together the whole history of Jia family, from a hundred flowers blooming, cooking oil everywhere, to family ruin and disintegration, and also let us see all kinds of darkness, decay and corruption in the officialdom of Qing Dynasty. The whole officialdom, from the imperial court to the local government, sells officials and titles, ignores human life, is mercenary, goes with the flow, officials protect each other and cronyism. Even a small chief (door) knows how to get an official protector to please his master. Can such a decadent court and such a dark officialdom not decline? This is the so-called prosperous time of Kanggan, and the future generations are even more terrible. Needless to say, everyone knows what China became in the late Qing Dynasty.
