Fisher (Mary Francis Kennedy Fisher, 1908- 1992)

The guiding light of American food literature. Behind her, many food writers followed in her footsteps, but never exceeded her height.

1937, Xue Fei published The Story of Incense, which caused a sensation in the literary world. Because of its sophisticated writing style, there is nothing false or true in the prose of Young Women, so that many literary critics mistakenly think that this book was written by a man and become a joke. She has written more than 20 books in her life, covering history, culture, nature, philosophy and other aspects, among which food literature writing is the most respected. Her diet articles not only tell readers how to cook, but also combine personal experience and background of the times, full of life philosophy and passion. Deeply influenced the concept of life of a generation of Americans.

From 65438 to 0978, Fisher was awarded the Outstanding Female Achievement Award for her achievements and influence in food literature. 1992 established a literary prize named after her "Fisher Prize" to reward female writers who have made outstanding achievements in food, home and nutrition.
