Prior to this, primary schools were all out of school at 4 pm, which was out of sync with parents' off-duty time, which brought great inconvenience to parents to pick up their children. Parents either send their children to off-campus care classes or ask grandparents to pick them up, but grandparents can't tutor their children. The primary school delayed service until 6 o'clock, which solved this problem, and parents naturally felt relieved.
As for the off-campus care class, it is definitely unwilling for self-interest, but the first consideration of education is to benefit children, and the second is to solve the difficulties of parents. The interests of private institutions cannot be considered. As for whether the trusteeship class will end here, I don't think so. They can continue to do lunch support to form a supplement, but the "business space" is compressed.
The next thing that needs to be considered by the government and schools is how to do good things well.
The first is the content of delayed service. Will the delayed service evolve into a collective remedial class for teachers?
The Ministry of Education clearly pointed out in the Guiding Opinions on Doing a Good Job in After-school Service for Primary and Secondary School Students that the content and form of after-school service should be scientific, be conducive to promoting students' all-round development, and resolutely prevent after-school service from becoming collective teaching or disguised remedial classes. Students can be arranged to do homework, reading, sports, fine arts, popular science activities, or organize comprehensive practical activities.
This regulation clarifies the working form and content of school delay service. It should be said that this decision is wise and correct, and it also gives parents a reassurance.
Secondly, can teachers prepare lessons and serve seriously according to the requirements of the Guiding Opinions? . Parents are worried that the school is a mere formality, and the teachers are perfunctory, turning the delayed service into a simple "care".
Only when a good policy is implemented, it needs the careful supervision of the local education department, and there must be no deviation in the careful implementation of each school.
Third, it is the problem of delayed service charges. Will the charge be too high?
Because of the delayed service, the teacher paid extra labor, so it is natural to charge a certain fee to subsidize the teacher. However, the state does not clearly stipulate how to charge them. However, judging from the current situation of pilot schools, the fees are not high, and some have implemented a free policy for needy families. I hope this practice can persist. If the government can pay the bill in a unified way in the future, it will be a measure to benefit the people.
In Beijing, at present, there is no charge for delaying classes. In most schools, teachers take turns watching students, so long as they are not noisy, they can do their homework and read books at will. It is basically impossible to have rich activities and teachers to guide your study. Rich off-campus courses need funds. Although the school has financial allocations every year, each item is earmarked, and misappropriation is illegal. Maybe some famous schools have a lot of money, so they can decide how to spend their surplus.
However, for ordinary schools, the funds allocated by higher authorities seem to be stretched, and many facilities have been used for almost ten years and have not been updated. At present, in the absence of special funds for remedial classes, it is already a complaint that teachers are allowed to work overtime voluntarily, and no one can bear to ask for guidance in learning. It is often said on the internet that teachers have two classes every day and the rest of the time is free. Why don't they moan? Such people will know after coming to school for a few days.
First of all, most primary school teachers have 18 class hours a week, that is, 3-4 classes a day, and the class teacher may lose two classes. But in the morning reading and at noon, the head teacher has to guide the students in the class, more than two classes. Why did teachers in the 1980s attend classes until 5 pm? Because there was a lunch break at that time, all the students went home, and the teacher could go home to have a rest. Now, students should pay attention to their diet in case they choke or have problems. The teacher should fill the lunch boxes one by one, and everyone must eat the same amount, otherwise parents may sue.
At noon, students have dinner, the class teacher eats, other teachers stand guard to prevent students' safety problems, and then there are three classes in the afternoon. Who can give lectures after 5 o'clock in this workload? Both teachers and students are tired. So the status quo can only be, watch, it is best for everyone to be quiet.
Since the autumn of 20 19 in our county, * * * there are 8 schools in compulsory education stage to carry out after-school delayed service pilot projects, both in urban areas and villages and towns. 80 yuan is charged for primary schools and 100 yuan for junior high schools. Primary school used to finish school at 16: 30, but now it is delayed to 18. Children finish their homework under the guidance of teachers, so parents don't have to bother to go home. It is very late after school in junior high school. Children have dinner at school, and then have 2-3 evening self-study, during which there is real "self-study", and children can flexibly arrange to complete related homework. In other classes, they make overall arrangements for all subjects to ensure that children's homework can be handled well at school.
In the autumn of 2020, the number of after-school service pilot schools increased from 8 to 12. It is expected that by the autumn of this year, schools in compulsory education in our county will roll out after-school delayed service on a large scale.
Personally, I think it's definitely a good thing to delay the service until 6 o'clock after primary school, so that children don't have to spend a lot of money on custody classes, and parents also save money and worry. Because the school implements after-school delayed service, compared with off-campus trusteeship classes, it has the following advantages:
First, the fees are low. Primary school 80 yuan, junior high school 100 yuan, compared with the fees charged by off-campus tutoring institutions, it is really cabbage price, and conscience charges. This price is generally acceptable to parents. Moreover, the school also provides free services for children who "set up a card" and children with financial difficulties in individual families.
Second, it is targeted. Children in off-campus care classes come from different schools and classes, and their learning progress is different. How can a teacher have so much energy to help each child learn? But the school's after-school delay service is different. My own teacher helped me, and the teaching progress was the same. The teacher knows the children's learning like the back of his hand, so it is more convenient to help me.
Third, management is more standardized. Children who have seen the custody class attend classes: classroom management is chaotic. Children who finish their homework first talk and walk around with other teachers and play mobile games. But for the sake of students, teachers dare not be too strict, which will lead to poor discipline of children. Moreover, the school's after-school delayed service, standardized teacher management and strict discipline of children, such a learning environment, parents must be more assured.
The fourth one is safer. Trusteeship classes in off-campus tutoring institutions are basically in some secluded places, even if they are close to the school, there are some security risks. The school's after-school delay service allows children to complete their learning tasks without leaving school, and the delay service is over. Even if parents can't pick up their children on time, the safety problem on campus can be guaranteed.
The school's after-school delay service really saves parents money and worry. It seems imperative in the future. Although school teachers work hard, they should also accept the benefits that can be brought to parents and children (not to mention that teachers are paid, which is more attractive to most teachers and they can go home early to accompany their families).
There is a delayed service after school. Can parents really be "shopkeepers"? Of course not. Parents should pay attention to the following issues:
First, although children have finished their homework at school, they can't enjoy watching TV, playing mobile phones and playing games when they get home. Instead, they should spend their time cultivating children's beneficial hobbies, such as reading more books. This is very important. It is necessary to guide children to read more purposefully and work hard on the breadth and accuracy of reading.
Second, parents can't ignore what their children have learned. You can ask your child what he learned that day, what he learned and what he didn't understand. If you have the conditions, you can consolidate it for your child (don't say that it is the teacher's responsibility to pay money, isn't your child obligated to coach? ); If you don't have energy, you can communicate with the teacher and let the teacher care more.
Third, although the school's after-school delay service adheres to the principle of "voluntary", parents can choose not to participate, but parents are advised to choose to participate. After all, this kind of collective education is more suitable for children to learn. Don't listen to the encouragement of off-campus tutoring institutions and don't let children be lazy. In particular, the recent introduction of "primary school students can't leave school" shows that education authorities at all levels attach importance to delayed service after school, and parents can rest assured that their children will participate.
The service of primary school was delayed until 6 pm. Although it is convenient for many parents, parents can pick up their children after work. It's good for parents, but it's hard for school teachers. I don't support this practice. As for whether the trusteeship class will end? I don't think it's what I thought. Trusteeship classes will still exist, and there will be a market if there is demand.
For the problem of delayed service in schools, many parents applaud and can ask parents to pay the delayed service fee. Some parents think that this is what school teachers should do, and the delay in paying the service fee makes the school feel very embarrassed. However, some parents send their children to remedial classes, and the cost of two or three hundred yuan per hour is not too much. They think that other people's efforts should be rewarded, and some students spend a lot of money on remedial classes. As far as I know, there are many families whose primary school fees are more than 654.38+10,000 yuan for six years. In the face of the after-school service fee charged by the school, that is to say, this after-school service fee is not much, mainly used to subsidize teachers' overtime pay. Instead of not cooperating like this, it is better to cancel after-school service.
Teachers are unwilling to organize students' after-school services. Teachers also have families and children, and there are still many things to do, rather than tutoring students to earn after-school service fees. This way is the same as the nature of organizing teachers to make up lessons in the past. The school allows teachers to receive after-school service by doing the work of teachers, but the actual effect of after-school service is not ideal.
For students, this increases their learning burden. The Ministry of Education clearly stipulates that primary school students are not allowed to leave school before 6 pm, which is not conducive to the healthy development of students' body and mind, and also violates the relevant requirements of the education authorities. If there is a safety accident in after-school service, the responsibility should be borne by the school.
Primary school students' main learning task is to develop good learning methods and habits, not to study hard at school. Parents ask the school to provide delayed service for their own convenience, and at the same time, they should understand and support the school teachers, not ask the school to do anything for themselves. Education should also follow objective laws, and rational use of time for study is the basis of students' healthy development.
