During the Warring States Period, it was the fiefdom of Wei Wenhou. Qin belongs to Handan County. Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty first established the county and governed Weicheng Village in the southwest of Daming County, Hebei Province. Belongs to Wei County. In the 21st year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (497), Changle County was established.

In the seventh year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (556), Wei County was moved to Changle County.
