Later, Zhang Dongguan met a woman named Lu Meimei, and together with her, she ignited the dream of running the largest restaurant in the world.
Origin of Soviet-made meat
In the forty-five years of Qianlong (1780), the emperor made a southern tour and lived in Chen Yuanlong's home in An Lan Garden, Yangzhou. The dishes cooked by chef Zhang Dongguan of Chen are very popular with Qianlong. Later, Zhang Dongguan entered the palace with Qianlong. Knowing that Qianlong loved thick things, he made a meat dish with pork belly and more than ten kinds of herbal powder for dinner.
Because Zhang Dongguan is from Suzhou, the broth cooked with this seasoning is called "Su Zao Tang" and its meat is called "Su Zao Meat". Later, it was changed to elbow, taking the essence of Taigong Wang's diet and naming it "Su Zao elbow", which was recorded in "Palace Diet" written by Yi Ehao, the wife of Mr. Aisingiorro, Pu Jie.
