Yuanjiang Hani, Yi and Dai Autonomous County is located in the south-central part of Yunnan Province, and its geographical coordinates are10139' ~102 22' and 2318' ~ 23 55' north latitude. Shiping County in the east, Honghe County in the south, Mojiang County in the west and Xinping County in the north. It is 220km away from Kunming, the provincial capital, and 132km away from Yuxi City, with an area of 2858km2. It has jurisdiction over 10 townships (streets) and 8 1 village (community).
The highest altitude (Aboli Mountain) is 2580 meters, and the lowest altitude (Xiaohe River Bank) is 327 meters, with a relative height difference of 2253 meters. climate
Yuanjiang is located in the low latitude plateau and belongs to the monsoon climate. In winter and summer, it is influenced by two different atmospheric circulation. Winter (i.e. dry season11-April) is affected by dry and warm air flow in North Africa and northern India and dry and cold air flow from north to south, with dry and warm air, less precipitation, rapid evaporation, more sunny days and sufficient sunshine.
