Zhuotong Chicken is named after its special cooking method. Chicken is a local native chicken, soaked in natural brine unique to the Dead Sea, smoked with dozens of spices, then put in a crock and simmered with slow fire.

Pengxi gingerbread

Pengxi gingerbread was founded in Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. It is made of glutinous rice, honey, sesame oil and ginger juice. It was once dedicated to Empress Dowager Cixi and named Jade Cake.
