This has something to do with the customs of Lingnan. Roast pig is a festival sacrifice. For example, the dishes that must be ordered at a wedding banquet are also used by Tomb-Sweeping Day to worship ancestors. It is auspicious to start cutting and burning pigs, which means cutting (earning) from scratch. At the end of the ceremony, the burning pig will be shared with the participants.
