Tongling Grand Canyon is close to the famous Detian Waterfall, only about 35 kilometers by car, so most tourists visit two scenic spots in western Beijing together. If you start from Nanning, you can go to Detian Waterfall Scenic Area on the first day and Tongling Grand Canyon on the second day. You can stay in Shuolong Town or Jingxi County near Detian Waterfall for one night.
The tour time of Tongling Grand Canyon Scenic Area is about 2-3 hours. After entering the scenic spot, you can take a walk along the plank road and visit it. The general tour sequence is from the gate to Tongling Waterfall via Tongling Gorge, visit the Waterfall and the water curtain cave behind it, and then return along Happiness Road or Lover Road in Dam Gorge the following year. After arriving at the gate of Nianba Gorge, there is a shuttle bus that can take tourists back to the gate of the scenic spot or walk back, about 20 minutes.

There are about 800 stone steps from the scenic gate to Tongling Waterfall. Walking all the way is not very tiring. There are spectacular canyon scenery on both sides of the road, as well as primitive tropical rain forests, gurgling water and waterfalls. The environment is fresh and beautiful. On the way, you can watch the trees along the way, such as fig trees and huge palm trees. Most of them have unique shapes and obvious tropical plant characteristics. The most unique thing is that there are several ancient Alsophila spinulosa trees that grew in the Jurassic period. So you can pay attention to them.
Tongling Waterfall is located in the depths of the canyon and is also the most important landscape in the scenic spot. The waterfall falls about 188 meters, and the water flow is magnificent. Moreover, the waterfall is located between a rift valley, just like a huge stream leaking from the top of the rift valley. The scenery is spectacular and fantastic, suitable for taking pictures. Water curtain cave lies behind the waterfall. There is a very unique lava landscape in the cave with a unique shape. There are also nine waterfalls in the cave, which can be visited one by one.
When you go back, you can play along Happiness Road to Nianba Gorge. There are beautiful canyons, rivers and trees along the way. There are also 800 meters long underground rivers and ancient cliff burial sites on the roadside for viewing. At the exit of the canyon, there are folk buildings with Zhuang characteristics in Guangxi, such as Duigelou and Waterwheel. If you are lucky, you can also see folk performances here, which is full of fun.

The water vapor in Tongling Grand Canyon is heavy, especially in water curtain cave. You'd better prepare rain gear when traveling here.
The temperature in the Grand Canyon and its surrounding areas is slightly lower than that in Nanning and other places. It is recommended to bring some warm clothes before visiting here.
