The origin of ball games can be traced back to the ancient ball game Cuju in China. Cuju was originally named "Tuju", and the word Cuju first appeared in Records of the Historian Biography of Bian Que and Cang Gong, while Cuju was called ancient football in China. Liu Xiang and Liu Xin, writers of the Western Han Dynasty, wrote in their personal works Bielu and Qilue: "Cuju players are said to have been made by the Yellow Emperor."
In 20001year, Joseph Blatter, the eighth president of FIFA, once again emphasized that "football originated in China" in his report on the history of international football development at the coaching training course organized by the Asian Football Association. In 2005, at the closing ceremony of FIFA Centennial Celebration, Linzi, Shandong Province, China was officially declared as the origin of world football.
