The following is the research done by our unit and my summary.

Procrastination is a worldwide child behavior problem, which is very common among children aged 3-6. Some get up slowly, some eat slowly, some walk slowly, some play group games slowly and so on. At work, I often meet children who eat slowly. No matter how hurried they are, they always have food in their mouths but don't swallow it. In view of this phenomenon, I have done the following work:

First, the reason why children eat slowly:

1, unbalanced movements: small class children's eyes and hands are not coordinated, and some children can't correctly grasp the methods and essentials of holding spoons; Some children can hold the spoon correctly, but it is time-consuming and laborious to hold it unsteadily.

2, gastrointestinal problems: According to expert research, in early childhood, children are prone to satiety, and will soon feel full, and will not have a strong hunger for adults.

3, dental reasons: children's teeth are not tightly occluded, teeth lack calcium, biting spinach, leeks or high-fiber braised beef is time-consuming, there is no way to contain too much in the mouth, you must chew in batches.

4, picky eaters: because of family habits, or do not like the taste of certain dishes, not interested in certain dishes, refused to eat.

5, lack of exercise: not enough exercise, not much energy consumption. Of course, I can't eat so hard.

6. Psychological stress: When having a meal together, we are always used to filling our children's stomachs. I don't know that children are under great pressure to see such a large pile of food, and their appetite naturally disappears.

7. Emotional reasons: I have something on my mind today, I have been wronged, or I have been criticized, or I have quarreled with my children. If I'm in a bad mood, I won't know the taste and the speed of eating will slow down.

8, attention: children are not focused, they will forget to eat when they hear a little noise, and they always need supervision.

Second, the countermeasures of eating problems:

1, providing a relaxed and pleasant dining environment.

The dining environment is very important, and we will play some soothing music to children during meals to make them happy. Don't criticize children before or during meals, and use gentle words to prompt them, so as not to create a tense dining atmosphere.

2. Arrange the children's meal time reasonably.

For children who eat slowly, if they are the last to serve dishes, they will still fall behind other children even if they try harder. Therefore, in order to make the children have a balanced meal time and feel more confident, we quietly give the children who eat slowly a meal first. Use this method to shorten the gap with fast children.

3. Clever use of the method of doing more with less money.

Children who eat slowly should not eat too much. We should adopt the method of filling in less and adding more to eliminate their visual fear and give them psychological advantages. Serve a small amount of food first, and then serve it when he has finished eating, so that he will have a sense of accomplishment. This method is also very suitable for winter, and hot meals and hot dishes are more comfortable to eat.

4. Take the method of positive guidance and positive encouragement.

(1) Pre-meal strategy: Let the children who eat slowly take the stage to announce the names of dishes, be tasters before meals, introduce the names and tastes of meals, stimulate children's self-confidence and appetite, and speed up eating.

(2) For picky eaters: A, if you don't like mushrooms and fungus, I'll help you pick them out, but you have to finish everything else quickly and promise me to try mushrooms and fungus tomorrow. B, please drink half of the mushrooms and fungus you don't like in the soup, and I will encourage you in front of the whole class. C, don't leave the food you don't like for last, I'll help you solve the problem first.

(3) For external factors: I will first teach children who have problems chewing and holding spoons the correct way to eat. Then remind him: put a small mouth in his mouth; When chewing, prepare a second bite in the spoon, swallow it and then put the food into your mouth; Chewing with the back teeth, like a tiger, has more power to tear up the meat.

(4) Menu prompt method: In view of the age characteristics of children's inattention, we use menu prompt method besides mouth prompt every day. The children in the teaching class "lean on the table, look at the plate with their eyes, hold the spoon in their hands and eat a small plate". Children can master poetry well, make meal cards in the form of pictures in the middle of the table when eating, and remind children to develop good eating habits at any time.

(5) Last elimination system: eight children in each group, and only seven stickers are distributed in each group every day. The last child in each group didn't post it. Afraid of not getting burnt, the children scrambled to finish their meal. We put forward higher requirements. Only the child who eats the fastest and has the cleanest plate can get it and paste it.

(6) red and green dot prompt method: put a red dot on the "8" on the watch of this class. Stick a green dot on the clock "12", and stick a blank certificate for each child on the big board below the class factory. The red dot stands for lunch time. After dinner before "8", send a happy post and stick it on the big page of the class. The green dot represents breakfast. Similarly, those who finish breakfast before "12" will be rewarded.

Third, family synchronization:

Eating is not a unique behavior in kindergarten. This behavior has started from the moment the baby was born. Therefore, children's initial dining behavior is developed in the family environment. It is not enough to rely on teachers' unilateral efforts, which requires better cooperation from their families. Family education and kindergarten should be consistent. Our teacher should communicate with parents, feedback the situation of children in kindergarten to parents in time, and seek the cooperation of parents. Let parents ask their children at home and learn to eat by themselves as in kindergarten. Here are some strategies for synchronizing homes:

1, take the certificate home:

In the last strategy, we prepared a small reward for our children. Eat before the designated red dot, and you can get a small sticker. After a week, let's see who posted the most on the certificate and show it to mom and dad. Recently, because of infectious diseases, parents rarely enter the park to communicate with the class teacher about their children's living habits, so we also use this method to let parents know about their children's eating in class. Parents can give rewards according to the number posted on the certificate.

2. Give parents some advice:

(1) Don't store too many snacks at home;

If the child has been eating snacks, when it is time to eat, the child will naturally be unable to eat, and what is more serious will cause malnutrition. Although snacks should be given, they should not be overdone, especially junk food, so as to prevent children from eating more snacks and "putting the cart before the horse" for dinner. Snacks can be rewarded according to the situation after eating.

(2) Don't let children eat and play;

As a result of children's eating and playing, the time for eating will be extended. When it comes to the next meal, the children are not hungry, and of course they will not sit down to eat. When eating, the whole family should concentrate on eating and don't do other things, such as watching TV and talking. Some babies watch cartoons while eating, which is all caused by TV: tell him to "watch after eating".

(3) Adults should develop correct eating habits.

"example is better than words." Children's imitation ability is extremely strong. If adults' own eating habits are abnormal, or they often wrap their stomachs casually with snacks, there is naturally no reason to ask children to follow regular eating habits.

(4) Let children participate in the cooking process.

For example: serving food, helping to carry it home, washing fruit together and so on. You can even ask your child's opinion and ask him to help you cook together, so that the child not only has a sense of participation, but also knows every step before cooking a dish, and then enjoys eating it more.

(5) Change the rhythm of eating:

Remind children in time when they find that their eating rhythm is slow. Parents can show him the way and speed of eating, so that children can find their own shortcomings in comparison, thus speeding up the pace. You can also use a timed method and a timer to set it according to the time he may finish eating before eating. If you finish eating before this time, you will be praised. If you exceed the limit, take the bowl away if you can't finish eating it. The stipulated time can be shortened bit by bit until he can finish eating in the normal time.

(6) Parents have the same attitude:

Attitude should be consistent, don't worry about children starving, don't scold children. Patient and meticulous. When a child is spoiled and wants to be fed, adopt an encouraging method, even if a meal is delayed for a long time, wait patiently for the child to finish it.

Eating habits cannot be changed overnight. You can only study according to the characteristics of your own class. I divide the children who eat into the following categories. Children who can eat but can't eat, children who can eat but don't want to eat, children who don't eat dry, children who only eat vegetables, children who eat steamed stuffed buns without stuffing, and children who refuse to eat. And children have a particularly good appetite. No matter what they eat, they eat fast and much. For such a child, I will remind him to chew slowly and control it in time. If you find that your child is almost full, you will be reminded in time to avoid overeating.
