Some mothers are experienced and the baby will soon return to normal. Some mothers used the right method by mistake and barely helped the baby through the "difficulties". Some mothers make their babies suffer because of their inexperience.
Constipation is not a serious illness, but it is the easiest to take advantage of it. Mothers must understand the correct coping methods in order to avoid detours.
Today, let's talk about constipation.
How many days does the baby not pull = constipation?
There are three words to remember when judging constipation.
Judging constipation, I think many people's first reaction is: see how often the baby pulls! Actually, it's not like this.
To judge the baby's constipation, we should not only look at the interval of baby's defecation, but also observe the baby's defecation characteristics, mental state, eating appetite and so on.
Remember three words: dry and hard. At the same time, these symptoms will also appear:
1 The baby's belly is bulging, which will hurt the stomach;
2 no appetite, no desire to eat, indigestion;
(3) No spirit, easy to lose temper, crying, unstable sleep.
If the baby's anus turns red because of too hard defecation, and the stool is still bloody, this shows that the baby's constipation is very serious and needs to see a doctor immediately.
Avoid the cognitive misunderstanding of constipation
You are doing this to prevent constipation!
Many mothers "severely punish" their babies for constipation. Try all the kaiselu and soap!
Remember, there is no right medicine, these methods are all temporary solutions, and frequent use may be counterproductive.
In fact, most babies' constipation comes from bad living habits, especially diet. I listed some common reasons for mothers, so please refer to them quickly.
1, the milk powder is too strong, so drink less water.
Some mothers think that milk powder is thicker and more nutritious, which is a good intention to do bad things. The nutritional density of concentrated milk powder will indeed increase, but the intake of water will decrease, which will lead to constipation.
How to deal with it: when making milk powder, we should follow the recommended mixing ratio, and don't concentrate or dilute it casually. It is best to give your baby some water between meals to replenish water and keep your baby's intestines moist.
Step 2 eat less fat
What a surprise. Fat loss is indeed one of the causes of constipation.
Some mothers think that when the baby has difficulty defecating, it is good to drink more water, have a light diet and eat more foods with high dietary fiber. But in fact, lack of fat can also make it difficult for your baby to defecate.
Coping methods: increase the proportion of fatty foods, such as milk and dairy products, meat, eggs, nuts and so on.
According to the Dietary Guidelines for China Residents, 7-9-month-old babies need to add 5- 10g oil if their supplementary food is mainly plant food such as grains, vegetables and fruits. (Ordinary white porcelain spoons at home, the amount of one spoon is about 10g. )
For older babies, after three meals become the main energy source, increase the proportion of fatty foods, such as milk and dairy products, meat, eggs and so on. You can let your baby eat enough fat every day without adding extra fat.
3, picky eaters, only eat meat and don't eat vegetables and coarse grains
Babies who add complementary food are more prone to constipation. Why? Because they may have the habit of picky eaters, for example, some babies only like meat and don't eat vegetables, fruits and coarse grains.
Gastrointestinal movement needs dietary fiber to promote, and vegetables, fruits and coarse grains are important sources of dietary fiber. These plant fibers have important physiological functions such as balancing diet, improving digestion, absorption and excretion, and play a special role as "body cleaner". Without them, the baby's dietary fiber is insufficient, which naturally leads to constipation.
