Speaking of Fengyang, many people will think of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of Daming, who is from Fengyang. It is natural that a small county can produce such a big man, and this big man will certainly become the business card of this small town. But Fengyang's business card is more than that. In the local area, there is a traditional folk art, which is also very famous, and that is "Fengyang Flower Drum". Coincidentally, the earliest origin of this folk custom was in the Ming Dynasty. This can't help but remind people, does it have anything to do with Zhu Yuanzhang? Actually, there is a connection. It can even be said that Fengyang Flower Drum can originate and be handed down because of Zhu Yuanzhang. It is said that after the founding of Daming, Zhu Yuanzhang forcibly ordered the rich landlords in the south of the Yangtze River to move to Fengyang in order to support his hometown. However, although this policy has been strongly implemented, those rich people in the south of the Yangtze River are extremely reluctant. No wonder they are. After all, Fengyang is much poorer than Jiangnan. When the rich got there, they found it was far from their hometown and wanted to go back to Jiangnan. As a result, before these people left, Zhu Yuanzhang issued another order prohibiting them from leaving Fengyang House. In this way, the rich were trapped in the Fengyang house of the poor. Later, I don't know who came up with a good idea, that is, pretending to be an entertainer, playing drums and singing ditties to get away with it and leaving Fengyang, and after putting it into practice, it really succeeded. So soon, more and more people followed suit, and Fengyang's flower drum singing became popular. Since then, there has been an artistic form of playing flower drums and singing ditties in the local area, which has gradually evolved into a folk activity. Therefore, the origin of Fengyang Flower Drum is indeed related to Zhu Yuanzhang, but it was not invented by him personally, but indirectly promoted by his series of policies. It can be seen that Zhu Yuanzhang brought two business cards to Fengyang, one is himself and the other is the famous Fengyang Flower Drum. Fengyang Flower Drum has been popular in the local and surrounding areas since its origin in the Ming Dynasty, and it had a great influence until the end of the Ming Dynasty. After the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, folk flower drum activities in Fengyang have never stopped, and the momentum is getting bigger and bigger, even extending its influence to Southeast Asia. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Fengyang Flower Drum once performed in the palace and was appreciated by Qianlong. At that time, it was compiled in the book "Nishang Continued Music", which recorded Fengyang Flower Drum and two specific tracks. It can be seen that Fengyang Flower Drum had received official attention at that time. Today, Fengyang people have not forgotten this traditional folk activity. Whenever China New Year is a festival, or when local people want to hold any happy events, they will invite ancient painting teams to entertain them. Just as Guangdong people like lion dancing, Fengyang people especially like playing ancient paintings and singing minor tunes. After hundreds of years of circulation and processing, today's Fengyang Flower Drum has more than 100 tracks, which can be said to be a treasure in China's traditional literature and art. It is a well-known song. I believe most people in China will hum a sentence or two, including the lyrics of "Gong with left hand, drum with right hand, and singing with gongs and drums in hand". Just seeing this lyric, many people will start singing in their heads. It is not easy for Fengyang Flower Drum to survive and continue to develop. Folk activities like this are rare in other parts of our country, which shows Fengyang's excellent cultural heritage. Do you know Fengyang Flower Drum?
