Although peaches have many advantages, they also have some disadvantages, that is, the fresh-keeping time is relatively short.
Preservation method of peaches
1, refrigerator preservation method
Prepare some water at 50℃ and wash the peaches. The reason why 50℃ water is used is because it can help kill bacteria and insects on the peach skin without scalding the peach. Then wipe the peach surface with a dry towel, put it in a plastic bag or a fresh-keeping bag, and then put it in a fruit and vegetable box in the refrigerator. The suitable refrigeration temperature is -0.5℃-0℃ and the relative humidity is 90%. If it is to be preserved for a long time, the temperature of the cold storage must be strictly controlled, and the temperature of the cold storage cannot fluctuate. If it is lower than-1℃, it may be frozen. Peaches can be properly ventilated at the initial stage of storage. At low temperature, symptoms of chilling injury will appear after 2 weeks. When it is moved to a high temperature environment for ripening, the pulp will become dry, fluffy and soft, and the pulp around the stone will appear obvious brown. In severe cases, patterns can be seen on the skin, the skin color is dull and the flavor will change. Peaches stored at 2℃-5℃ are more prone to pulp deterioration than those stored below 0℃. The varieties with good storability can be stored for 4 weeks under the stable condition of -0.5℃-0℃, and the quality is good. Peaches will become tasteless if they are refrigerated for too long, so their storage period should not be too long.
2, room temperature preservation method
Peaches are rich in sugar at 30℃. If stored in the refrigerator, it is easy to lose sugar because of the low temperature. Peaches will become tasteless when they are taken out of the refrigerator. Therefore, if you want to eat sweet peaches, you'd better find a cool place to place them at room temperature, not in the low-temperature refrigerator. Peaches stored at room temperature should be eaten within three days.
Matters needing attention in peach preservation
1, peaches should avoid direct sunlight, because direct sunlight will accelerate the ripening of peaches and accelerate their decay. It's best to put it in a place with little sunshine, and it can be placed in a basket with holes, which is both breathable and can help keep out the sun.
2. Peaches must be dried after being washed with clear water, otherwise the contact between water and peaches for a long time will lead to peach rot.
Don't put good peaches and bad peaches together. There may be bugs on bad peaches, which may be "contagious" when put together.
