During Xu's tenure, Su Dongpo not only left many places of interest in Xuzhou, such as Taohuawu, Huiji Pavilion, Pavilion, Dongpo Stone Bed and Su Causeway. But also shows the customs of Xuzhou well and inherits a long history and culture. During this period, he wrote more than 170 poems, especially the well-known prose "Flying Crane Pavilion", which described the story that Zhang Tianji, a hermit in Yunlong Mountain, built a pavilion to release cranes, praised the seclusion of the dusty mountain in Qingyuan, and promoted a kind of meditation and philosophical penetration. All these have played an important role in the formation and casting of Xuzhou's long cultural character.
Among these rich cultural relics, wine culture is the most impressive. It is said that Su Shi wrote the most about wine among China literati. After middle age, his life and creation are inseparable from wine. In the book "The Return of Crane Xi —— Su Shi in Xuzhou" edited by Dong Zhixiang and Liu Yuzhi, 95 pieces of Su Shi's works in Xuzhou were selected and annotated, and 35 of them mentioned wine. Among them, 77 poems were selected as annotations, and 32 poems mentioned wine, which is not much. For example, "when I am drunk, it is easy to get it." From then on, I bought sheep to make wine. It was cold when I missed you, and new poems talked with wine. I didn't remember when I went to town, and I fell asleep drunk on the way home. I was tired and sleepy when I was drunk, so I knocked on the door and asked the savage. In the article "Let the Crane Pavilion", there are six places that talk about wine. Among them, Wei Wugong's masterpiece "Restraint" holds that nothing is more absurd and corrupt than wine; However, Liu Ling, Ruan Ji and others are famous for their good wine. It is worth mentioning that in the second paragraph of the article, the focus was originally on flying cranes, but Su Shi talked about wine in detail, taking "wine" as the guest to set off cranes. In this way, "those who avoid scholars in the mountains, although confused and defeated like wine, should not harm others, but in a bad situation." There are many people who have been the satrap of Xuzhou in history, but Su Gong often climbs mountains and wades with his friends, visits secluded places to win, sings poems and makes wine, and depicts Xuzhou's mountains and rivers with wonderful pen, which endows him with pride and spirituality.
Poetry expresses ambition, and wine carries feelings. A remarkable feature of Su Shi's poems is that he expresses his feelings by drinking wine, which fully embodies his carefree mood during his stay in Xu and his thought of "loving and caring for the people". "But welcome guests, full of wine", "boating for water to buy a smile, shaking your shoulders when you are drunk", "drunken dancing to stay overnight, idle poetry ruining autumn" and "learning from the monarch and fighting hard for wine" are all examples. Nothing can better reflect his kindness to the people than the poem "Climbing the Yunlong Mountain". There is a cloud in the poem: "When you get drunk, you will take to Huangmao Mountain, where rocks are like sheep. The gang head is drunk with stones, looking up at the vast white clouds. The autumn wind is long in the winding valley. Passers-by look up at the southeast and clap their hands and laugh to make you crazy. " As an envoy, Su Shi is unpretentious and approachable. People saw him lying on the stone bed drunk, without scruple, clapping his hands and laughing. This not only vividly depicts Su Shi's eclectic pride, but also embodies his consistent thought of "treating the people like sons, officials like slaves" and loving the people like sons. There is also "Dongpo asks the people for rain", which was passed down as a much-told story at that time. Facing the drought in Xuzhou, Su Shi respected the customs and people's feelings and came to the stone beach in the east of the city to beg for rain with the people. "Heaven and earth are in vain, how can we pray for them?" . Su Shi is not superstitious about praying for blessings, but only knows the country's "responsibility to protect the soil." Coincidentally, before long, it really rained in Xuzhou. When he saw with his own eyes that the drought was over, the harvest was in sight and the farmers were beaming, he wrote five famous words "Huanxisha" with deep affection. The word says, "Young and old help the wheat harvest society, and dancing without each other is a magical village. The road is drunk at dusk. " "Hang a white stick to lift your eyes, follow your eyes and be hungry, and ask when the bean leaves are yellow?" The simple scenery of the countryside and the joyful scenes of Xian Yi, old and young, are vivid, cordial and touching. I'm afraid the reason is that "stone is the middleman"
The people of Xuzhou will never forget that Su Dongpo, who took office less than half a year in the autumn of 1077, suffered a once-in-a-century breach of the Yellow River. When the flood reached the gates of Xuzhou, he put all his eggs in one basket, "handsome for himself", went to build a house city, but couldn't get in, and saved the city with the people. "No one asked about the yellow wine, and the boots and socks were washed at dusk", which was a true portrayal at that time. After the victory of flood fighting, he built a new two-story high-rise building on the east gate wall, named "Yellow House". On the inauguration day, Su Shi held a banquet upstairs, and the whole city came to celebrate. Su Shi happily wrote the poem Nine Days in Peach Blossom House. After recalling the flood fighting scene, I wrote: "I wonder if I will come again today, and I will put my face in Yi Deng." "It belongs to you. How can this place be clear without a drink?" Last year, the struggle against floods was thrilling and muddy; This year, sharing wine and flowers with the people, you can swim leisurely, just like boating in the south of the Yangtze River. How can you not be emotional?
Lin Yutang pointed out in Su Dongpo's Biography: "When Su Dongpo is mentioned in China, people always smile with admiration." . This is the best summary of Su Dongpo's life. As long as the people of Xuzhou mention Su Dongpo, they all feel cordial and proud, and they all show natural smiles. Why do Xuzhou people love Su Dongpo? I think the fundamental reason is that he did his duty and devoted himself to the people during his tenure. As the head of a country, he led the people to fight floods, advised them to plant mulberry and took the lead in discovering and mining coal, all of which were closely related to the people. As a writer, he reflected the voice of the times, poured out people's voices, and actively cheered for the people of Li, and achieved a lofty position in the history of China literature. In the practice of caring for and doing things for the people, he has forged a profound friendship with the people. So as soon as Xuzhou people heard that he was going to be transferred, they took all the horses' heads and even cut the stirrups, and they didn't want to let him go. The villagers sent flowers and offered wine, telling their feelings. The scene was very touching, and it was unique as a satrap at that time. Practice has proved that whoever is connected with the people by heart and blood and becomes the spokesman of the people will win the respect of the people.
