Zhou Wuwang married his eldest daughter, Tai Ji, to Mann, and prepared three gifts to commemorate Yu Shun. Chen Jiandu (now Huxiang Town, Zhecheng County, Henan Province), known in history, later moved to Wanqiu (now Chengguan District, Huaiyang County, Henan Province), which governs the most of the 14 cities and is roughly a part of eastern Henan and central Anhui.
From the closure to the killing of King Hui of Chu in 479 BC, it took Chen 25 years, which lasted more than 568 years. After Chen's death, the descendant of Chen Gongzi Wan, a branch of Chen Gongzi Wan, took the place of surname in 386 BC, and was called Chen (Tian) in history.

Chen's tongzong Shun is the ninth grandson of the Yellow Emperor. Chen is the most important clan in Youyu clan. When it spread to Shun, she married the Huangdi clan, and Shun became Yao's adopted wife (an ancient woman was married as a whole son) and became the chief of the Huang tribe alliance, thus respecting Shun as the emperor.
