To answer these three questions, we need to discuss a premise, that is, what is Lu Bu's self-orientation.
In the previous program, we have talked about the role of Lu Bu in serving the people under Ding Yuan and Dong Zhuo, that is, rendering is not helpful. But when he and Wang Yun * * * were in charge of state affairs, he regarded himself as Wang Yun's collaborator. What did Wu Guan think of himself when he went to Kanto?
He is the first to Yuan Shu, attitude is:
Cloth from killing Zhuo for surgery, in order to repay Kan, want to be virtuous. I hate it repeatedly, but I refuse to accept it.
Translated, a young son was killed by Dong Zhuo, and Lu Bu took Dong Zhuo's credit to buy off Yuan Shu. I am your benefactor, Yuan Shu, but I turned him away because of his willfulness.
Therefore, Lu Bu can only vote for Yuan Shao again. He helped Yuan Shao defeat Zhang Yan of the Black Mountain Army, but he also admitted his hatred. The exact words in "Hero" are:
Cloth from meritorious service to yuan, despise the general, thinking that good department is not expensive.
Lu Bu thinks that he has made great contributions to Yuan Shao's family, so he doesn't take Yuan Shao's generals seriously, thinking that they are privately appointed local food stamps and don't deserve to be called your officials.
As for Er Yuan, Lu Bu thought that he had avenged them and should treat them with courtesy. In the case of Yuan Shao, it is more important that the generals appointed by Yuan Shao are not immortals and have no value.
Further thinking, Yuan Shao's generals are worthless. What is Yuan Shao's self-proclaimed riding general in his eyes?
In this regard, Lyu3 bu4' s heart stood with Emperor Han Xian, and Yuan Shao wanted to send someone to assassinate Lyu3 bu4 when Lyu3 bu4 asked to return to Luoyang, and he also appointed Lyu3 bu4 as a captain. The reason is simple:
I'm afraid I'm still hurting myself
Yuan Shao was afraid of becoming his own scourge after returning to Luoyang, but Lu Bu had only a few hundred cavalry. Where can he harm Yuan Shao?
The reason can only be that Lu Bu returned to Luoyang, in fact, in order to welcome and protect the son of heaven and return to the old capital, which really made him successful. Yuan Shao, the leader of the Kanto Alliance, is not worth much money. In other words, the blow to Lu Bu was that the local food stamps of the two Yuan armies squeezed the central authority, and the two brothers did not give in to each other. At this point, their positions are exactly the same.
Therefore, in the process of Lu Bu's escape to Hanoi County, the only one who received preferential treatment was Zhang Miao, the satrap, because both Zhang Miao and the Zhang brothers in Juck Zhang were appointed by the court. Rainbow Yun, Zhang Miao was a celebrity in the Party in his early years, which is popularly known as the "old school" in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
"Old school" includes Liu Yu and Gongsun Zan from Youzhou, Tao Qian from Xuzhou, Liu Biao from Jingzhou and JASON ZHANG from Hanoi. Their biggest similarity is that their official positions are all appointed by the imperial court, not "new-school people" Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, Cao Cao and Sun Jian, but all of their official positions are from self-proclaimed or self-styled.
Sorting out these names and looking at the development of the troubled times at the end of the Han Dynasty is precisely the process of "new faction" sweeping away "old faction" step by step.
Relatively speaking, "old school people" often show more respect for the emperor. For example, after the defeat of Yanzhou, Lu Bu went to Xuzhou of Liu Bei and received a handwritten letter from Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty. At that time, he couldn't make it because of "no accumulation", so he made a special statement on the table to welcome Emperor Han Xian, and JASON ZHANG, a fellow countryman of Lu Bu, participated. After placing the emperor in Luoyang, JASON ZHANG did not deliberately control state affairs, but returned to Hanoi County.
It can be seen that Lu Bu and other "old-school people" respect Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty.
This respect is also clearly reflected in Lu Bu's words and deeds. First of all, he mentioned in his letter to Xiao Jian of Langya:
Buyi killed Zhuo and came to Kanto, hoping to meet with Xiliang soldiers and recover them. Generals will attack each other and will not want to miss the country. Wuyuan people, more than five thousand miles to Xuzhou, in the northwest corner of the day. Today he didn't come to * * to compete for the land in the southeast of the sky.
It means that when Lu Bu killed Dong Zhuo and went to the Kanto border, he wanted to organize the Western Expedition to welcome Emperor Han Xian to recover Luoyang, but the Kanto generals attacked each other and no one cared about the country at all. Lu Bu is a native of Wuyuan, more than 5,000 miles away from Xuzhou, living in the ends of the earth, and does not want to compete for this distant land.
Some people may say that this is Lu Bu patting his face, but realistically speaking, whether it is the "new school" or the "old school", the Kanto warlords do not regard "welcoming the son of Fengtian back to his old capital" as politically correct in public opinion, and only Zhu Jun, Tao Qian, Lu Bu and JASON ZHANG have ever taken this matter seriously.
Before and after recovering Yanzhou, Cao Cao's whole behavior strategy took a 180 degree turn. Before attaching himself to Yuan Shao, he went his own way. In particular, he sent troops to meet the Phoenix Emperor twice. First, Cao Hong was sent, but was stopped by General Dong Cheng and Yuan Shu of Wei. Later, he personally led the troops to Luoyang to welcome the Emperor to move to Xuchang.
After that, the interaction between Cao Cao and Lu Bu was also very friendly. Yuan Shu sent Han Yin to tell Lyu3 bu4 that he was about to become the emperor and wanted to marry Lyu3 bu4' s daughter as a daughter-in-law. The previous friendly cooperation and such in-laws suddenly turned against each other, and Han Yin was tied up and sent to Xuchang for beheading. Cao Cao wrote a calligraphy to comfort him, gave Lu Bu an official title, and made him General Zuo.
Lyu3 bu4 Abel Tamata word and cao cao's reply, together, very interesting:
To the son of heaven:
I should welcome you, knowing Cao Cao's loyalty and filial piety, I should welcome you. I used to fight with Cao Cao, but now Cao Cao protects your Majesty Fu. I am a foreign general. If you want to follow our soldiers, you will be suspicious, so you will commit Xuzhou and dare not retreat.
To Cao Cao:
The convicted person will be awarded the first place and will be rewarded with his life. Look at Yuan Shu's imperial edicts such as buying and arresting, which should be life-oriented.
What I gave the emperor was a public document. I should have said hello to you. Cao Cao is loyal and filial, but we have fought before. Now Cao Cao is the emperor's assistant minister. I am a military commander living abroad. I want to lead troops to follow the emperor, but I am afraid of being suspected of fighting. Therefore, I will settle in Xuzhou first.
For Cao Cao, it is a personal letter, which means that I hit you in Yanzhou, which is the first crime. You must cut off my head. Now I'm writing a personal letter to reward you for seeing the letter that arrested Yuan Shu and others. Thank you very much. I intend to work for you.
On the whole, Lu Bu did a classic thing, that is, "surrender to the Han Dynasty but not to Cao Cao". He defended Xuzhou for Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty, but he was also exterminated by Cao Cao, but he was not a subordinate of Cao Cao himself.
Of course, the break between Lu Bu and Yuan Shu in the history books is attributed to Chen Gui and Chen Deng and his son. Because of their lobbying, Lu Bu broke with Yuan Shu. The question is, if Lyu3 bu4 doesn't take Emperor Gaozu as the orthodox, Chen Gong and Seibel, he won't listen, but what makes him listen to Chen Gui?
In the final analysis, Lu Bu was loyal to the Han Dynasty. As a frontier fortress, his cognition is very different from that of the Central Plains gentry. The gentry can be understood as the relationship of "dual monarch and minister", that is, they should be loyal to Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty and their "main generals". In the eyes of people like Lu Bu, the emperor was made by people from heaven, but the "master book" was an ordinary person. If you kill him, you will kill him.
Therefore, Lu Bu's repetition is of course mercenary, and there are also factors that are incompatible with the secular ethics. I don't believe your story. What's the matter?
The problem is that for the "new school" who is committed to building a private team, such a person can certainly not become a qualified subordinate.
