Children are vulnerable.
Children are prone to burns and scalds because of their immature body system, uncoordinated movements, strong curiosity, slow avoidance reaction, tender skin and few accessories, especially children aged/kloc-0 to 5, accounting for about 2/3 of the total number of burns in children.
Hydrothermal burns are the most common.
Among all kinds of burns, hydrothermal burns are the most common. Hydrothermal scalds include boiling water, porridge, hot oil and other hydrothermal scalds, and most of them occur at home. The most common thing is that children fall into improperly placed hydrothermal solution, and many older children (3 to 5 years old) are injured by pulling down hot water bottles.
Strengthen children's management education
Because children's scalds are mostly caused by poor nursing, so as long as we strengthen the management education of children, improve people's cultural and scientific level, and popularize the knowledge of scald prevention, children's scalds can be reduced.
Don't listen to folk remedies
In case of scald, the hydrothermal solution should be removed as soon as possible to reduce the injury. Small and medium-sized burns should be immediately soaked or rinsed with sterile or clean cold water, which can relieve pain and reduce the degree of burns. Don't listen to others. It is very wrong and dangerous to wipe the affected area with soy sauce, vinegar, mercuric chloride, toothpaste or even salt and baking soda. Everyone should eliminate the traditional folk fear of not using cold water after injury.
Severe burns require medical care.
For severely scalded children, those whose total scalding area is more than 10% or who need surgical treatment for third-degree burns, those who burn special parts, such as face, neck, respiratory tract, perineum, hands and feet, burn poisoning or other burns, and have a fever of more than 38 degrees, they should be sent to a specialized hospital immediately to avoid delaying the best treatment opportunity.
A diet without taboos
If there are no symptoms such as nausea and vomiting in the early stage of large-scale scald, you can eat a small amount of liquid, such as rice soup. Then you can eat foods with high protein, high energy and high vitamins, such as noodles and salt porridge. It is wrong for people to say that they should not eat "hairy" foods such as shrimps and crabs. There are no dietary taboos after scalding, as long as children can eat and digest them well.
