Xiangshan County is located in the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta, along the central coast of Zhejiang Province, between Xiangshan Port and Sanmen Bay, surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the two ports embrace each other. In the second year of Tang Shenlong, the county was established in 706 AD. Because there are mountains in the northwest of the county, it is named Xiangshan.
