Quick freezing method:

On January 21, 2017, in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, as the Spring Festival was approaching, more than 100 people in Heihe City, a border town located on the 50th parallel north latitude, Uncles, aunts, military wives, cute children, etc. came to the "Heihe Hao Eighth Company" as volunteers and made dumplings to welcome the New Year together with the border guards. After three hours, they had made tens of thousands of dumplings. There were too many dumplings. In order to facilitate storage, the soldiers took the dumplings to an outdoor "natural ice cellar" at more than minus 30 degrees and froze them. In just half an hour, they became "quick-frozen dumplings".

Several volunteers are placing dumplings together with the soldiers for quick freezing in a natural ice cellar at more than minus 30 degrees Celsius.

Every Chinese New Year and festival, the people of Heihe City will spontaneously come to the army to make dumplings, cook New Year's Eve dinner, and give insoles to the soldiers.
