Because of the large area, each region has its own different living habits, food culture and customs, and the biggest difference may be between the north and the south. The living habits and eating habits of southerners and northerners are quite different. Today, I will share with you six kinds of southern snacks that northerners are not used to, and all of them must be authentic southerners.

First, meat buns

Zongzi is a must-eat food during the Dragon Boat Festival. Northerners usually wrap zongzi with rice and red dates, but southerners are different. Southerners can make all kinds of meat zongzi, which they love to eat, but northerners find it difficult to swallow. Southerners, on the other hand, get more fragrant as they eat, and the salty taste and glutinous rice blend together. It tastes great!

Second, snail powder

Snail powder has been very popular in the last year or two, and it has suddenly become a delicacy among online celebrities. People who like to eat are really tired of eating. Most people are interested in hearing this name, but I'm afraid I can't stand it when I smell it. Snail powder is very unpleasant, because it smells like sour bamboo shoots, so it is more popular. For northerners, it's hard to swallow when you smell it.

Third, the Youth League.

Youth League is a food cooked by southerners in Tomb-Sweeping Day. During my stay in Tomb-Sweeping Day, the Youth League can be seen in many rural areas. Simple people make dumplings by hand, which are softer and more delicious than food processed by machines. The taste of green balls has a faint scent of mugwort leaves, which is delicious.

Fourth, vermicelli sausage.

Naming rice rolls has nothing to do with the large intestine. It is made of rice paste, with thin rice cakes, and then rolled with pork, chicken and other side dishes. It tastes particularly fragrant, but this kind of thing is generally not heavy, so it really can't be sold in the north. One share is not enough and the consumption is too high.

Five, tofu pudding

Bean curd flowers in the south are basically sweet, and you can put sugar, red beans, mung beans, condensed milk, coconut juice and so on. There are frozen ones in summer, and of course there are hot ones, which are very sweet and delicious. The difference in the north is that bean curd is generally salty, and soy sauce, shallots and coriander can be added, which makes the taste smooth but not greasy. Therefore, whenever the sweet party and the salty party meet, they always give in to each other and argue endlessly. In fact, many northerners were shocked when they first knew that the bean curd in the south was sweet. But for many southerners, the same is true. They are used to sweet tofu flower, but they are not used to salty tofu brain.

Six, sweet dumplings

Tangyuan is also a very traditional snack in China. Generally speaking, they will eat a lot of dumplings on the Lantern Festival. But for many northerners, there is a strong sense of resistance to dumplings, and many people even think that dumplings are not a kind of food. Although the Lantern Festival is celebrated in northern Renye Fang, the special snack they eat is Yuanxiao, which has softer skin and more delicious stuffing.
