Christmas is a Christian holiday.
December 25th every year is the day when Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus, which is called Christmas. The Christmas festival lasts from December 24th to January 6th of the following year.
During the holidays, Christians from all over the world hold grand commemorative ceremonies. Christmas was originally a Christian holiday. Because people pay special attention to it, it has become a national holiday, the most grand holiday of the year in the country. The festival can be compared with the New Year, similar to the Spring Festival in our country.
The Christmas character image mainly refers to Santa Claus (Santa Claus), whose prototype is Saint Nicholas, the bishop who lived in the city of Myra (now in Turkey) in the 4th century AD. He did a lot of charity work in his life, and his favorite thing was to help the poor in secret. Santa Claus was his later nickname. The name came from the story of how he secretly sent money to help three girls.
Nicholas was revered as a saint after his death. The image of Santa Claus is an old man with a white beard wearing a red robe and a red hat. Every Christmas he comes from the north on a sleigh pulled by a deer, enters every house through the chimney, puts Christmas gifts in socks and hangs them on the children's beds or in front of the stove.
