Department-level cadres and deputy-level cadres belong to national civil servants. According to the regulations, men retire at the age of 60 and women retire at the age of 55. The retirement age of cadres stipulated by the state is 55 for women and 65 for provincial and ministerial level. In addition, the Notice of the Central Organization Department and the Ministry of Labor and Personnel on the Retirement Age of Female Cadres stipulates that the retirement age of female cadres at the department level who have reached the age of 55 and worked in party and government organs, mass organizations and institutions can be appropriately postponed to 60 years old if there is no suitable successor for the time being due to work needs and they can persist in normal work. In other words, under normal circumstances, female cadres below ministerial level retire at the age of 55, and can be extended to 60 if there are special circumstances above departmental level.
