Amomum villosum, also known as Amomum villosum, is the dried and mature fruit of Amomum villosum, a perennial herb of Zingiberaceae. Peels and flowers can also be used medicinally. They are mainly produced in Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and other places. It is also cultivated in China's Yunnan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces. In autumn, fruits are picked when they are ripe, dried in the sun or smoked with sulfur, and peeled or broken when used. Cardamom is pungent in taste, warm and dry in nature, and should not be used for those with yin deficiency and blood dryness.
