Dongzhi Zongzi, also called steamed rice cake, is a traditional snack in Dongzhi, Anhui Province. Legend has it that it originated in the early Ming Dynasty. When the indica rice is steamed to seven minutes, it is ground into fine powder, and then a proper amount of water is added to make noodles. Then mix the meat stuffing with fresh vegetables to make stuffing and steam it in a pot.
