It was opened by Du Fu, a wealthy businessman in the early years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, and is famous for cooking Shandong cuisine in Jinan. It is said that once the owner Du Mou gave a banquet to "burn the large intestine", and the guests praised it after tasting it: Taoism is good at alchemy and has the name of nine-turn elixir; Eating this delicious food can be compared with elixir. In order to cater to the host's hobby of "Jiuzhuan" and praise the chef's superb cooking skills, the guests named him "Jiuzhuan large intestine" with the Taoist term "Jiuzhuan", which means that the cooking skill of Jiuhualou is as exquisite as Taoist alchemy. Since then, Jiuhualou's "nine turns to the large intestine" has become famous. As a representative dish of Jinan, it ranks among the famous dishes of Shandong cuisine and spreads all over the country. The method of making Jiuzhuan large intestine is very particular. When cooking, the chef should use all the materials and have precious Chinese medicines (such as Amomum villosum, Cinnamomum cassia, Cardamom, etc. ) seasoning. After intensive burning, the large intestine is ruddy and bright, fat but not greasy, with five flavors of sour, sweet, fragrant, spicy and salty, which makes people have an endless aftertaste after eating. Jiuhua Building gradually declined and changed hands several times, becoming Dai's residence.

There is a pool in its backyard to attract the living water from Pearl Spring to raise carp. Customers can cook the fish in the pond immediately after they choose, so they are more popular with diners in old Jinan and their business is very prosperous. Its shops extend from Houzaimen Street to Zhenchi (commonly known as "Duck Bay") in the middle of Zhenchi Street, occupying many courtyards in the north and south of Houzaimen Street and having seven facades. The shop was opened in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and the owner was Zhang Qiu's surname Li. At the peak of the sauce garden business, there were more than 300 vats, which could hold more than 250 kilograms of pickles.
The strong cultural and religious atmosphere on Houzaimen Street makes this old street become an old street where temples and cities are integrated in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and churches and temples are gathered in one street.
Speaking of churches and temples in this street, the first thing to mention is the Christian church at the western end of Houzaimen Street, which is located on the bank of Baihuazhou, adding a strong exotic flavor to the old street.
Houzaimen Church is a small building with blue bricks and gray tiles, simple and elegant, which is in harmony with Baihuazhou in the north. This church was built in the 1920s. 192 1 year, the southern baptist church bought a house here as the church site and became a clinic attached to the church. 1937, Japanese troops invaded Jinan. When Christians in the old city go to church outside the city, they should salute the Japanese guarding the city according to Japanese regulations. Believers felt psychologically unacceptable, so the congregation discussed building a church in the old city. Mei, an American believer in Jinan at that time, invested 1 10,000 yuan to buy two houses and build a chapel on the basis of the church clinic. At that time, the east-west width of the chapel was 10 meter, and the north-south length was 15 meter. After the church was completed, John, an American Baptist pastor, presided over the church affairs. When New China was founded, American priests withdrew, and Pastor China took over church affairs. During the Cultural Revolution, the church was forced to close and became the dormitory of an institution. 1985, the government returned the church property. 1Easter in April, 1986, Houzaimen Church resumed its religious activities. 1April, 993, the church transformed the chapel into this two-story chapel. Because Houzaimen Church is located in the eastern cultural area of Quancheng, it often receives foreign Christian groups coming to Jinan, and foreign believers living in Jinan often come here for parties.
There are three main temples on Houzaimen Street: Bixia Palace, Fuhui Temple and Guandi Temple.

This temple became a police station during the Republic of China. After the founding of New China, it was changed to Daizong Street Primary School. 1975 was used by No.66 middle school in Jinan, and later it was changed into a residential building.
Fuhui Zen Forest Garden is located at Houzaimen Street 1 1. Legend has it that it was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt many times in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The original area is about 700 square meters. After the founding of New China, the temple was occupied by Houzaimen grocery store, and the original mountain gate and East-West Hall were demolished and converted into retail buildings. Now there are only three halls, three bays and three entrances. The hall is 14m long from east to west and about 10m deep. The beam frame is basically well preserved, but most of the paintings have fallen off, but the scale of the year can still be seen.
Guandi Temple is located in the north of Dongshou Road, Houzaimen Street, and echoes the Confucian Temple in Fu Xue, Jinan in terms of coordinates, forming a symmetrical distribution pattern of "one literature and one martial art". The Guandi Temple in Houzaimen Street was founded in Song Dynasty, formerly known as Hanshou Hou Ting Temple, and later renamed Guan Yue Temple and Guandi Temple. It is the largest and earliest Guandi Temple in Jinan. Fu Xuewen Temple in Jinan was also built in Song Dynasty, and its construction scale and time are also the highest in Jinan.
In addition, it should also be mentioned that the first lithographic museum in Jinan is also located on this street, which is the Dagong lithographic museum founded by Shen Zai 1905, general manager of the Arts and Crafts Bureau. At that time, Shen went to Japan to buy a machine as the general manager of Shandong Arts and Crafts Bureau, hired technicians from Shanghai, and co-founded Dagong Lithography Museum with industrialist Wu at the cost of 50 taels of silver each, with more than 20 employees. Its main business is printing and distributing "Briefs", so it is also called Briefing Museum. "Briefing" originally belonged to the nature of "Yuanmen Copy", which mainly published the promotion and opinions of officials at that time, and also extracted news from newspapers and periodicals in the North and South, and published commercial advertisements.
