Mexican tortilla (Spanish: Taco), sometimes transliterated as "Taco", etc., is a traditional Mexican food. It is made of a Mexican tortilla (tortilla) made of wheat flour or corn flour. Roll the vegetables into a U shape.
Taco means "stopper" or "bolt" in Spanish, and using this word outside of Mexico can be misleading.
Toppings: Roast beef, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, vegetables, cheese and even insects can be used as burrito toppings. The condiments that accompany the meal include salsa sauce, guacamole, pico de gallo, etc.
Mexican tortillas existed before the Spaniards came to Mexico. Anthropological evidence shows that pancakes filled with small fish are a traditional snack of indigenous people living in the Lake District of the Valley of Mexico.
According to Spanish conquistador Bernal Díaz del Castillo, the first European experience of tortellini was a meal arranged by Hernán Cortés for his captain in Coyoacan.
Flavour
1. Mexico
Authentic Mexican burritos bought from roadside vendors can use a variety of meats, including tripe, beef liver, and beef head .
2. American flavor
Mexican immigrants in California changed the taste of Mexican burritos. They are generally much larger than Mexican ones, and they often use fried pancakes. So it's harder and crispier than Mexican style. There are also many fast food chain stores selling burritos in the United States, such as Taco Cabana, Taco Via, Taco Bell, Del Taco, etc.
