Planting method of leek
First, planting time
Leek can be planted all year round, but it is suggested to choose spring and autumn, and the average temperature can be maintained between 15 degrees and 18 degrees, which is more suitable for it, conducive to rooting and seedling growth, and will save a lot of troubles in management.
Second, soaking seeds to accelerate germination.
Before sowing, the seeds should be treated, dried in a sunny place for a day or two, and then soaked in warm water. The water temperature should be kept at about 30 degrees, and the soaking time should be 8- 10 hour. During this period, the temperature should be controlled at 18-20 degrees, and the seeds can be planted after the radicle inside protrudes.
Third, reasonable sowing.
The sowing of leeks is very simple. Just sprinkle the treated seeds directly on the soil surface, cover them with a thin layer of soil after sowing, and then cover them with plastic to keep warm and moisturize. As long as the temperature and humidity in the later stage are suitable, it only takes about a week to germinate, and the film on them can be peeled off when the germination reaches about 70%.
Fourth, post-maintenance
In the later stage, it should be managed according to the growth of leek seedlings. After the new leaves grow, water them regularly to make the soil moist, but be careful not to get waterlogged. It is also necessary to apply water-soluble fertilizer to the leaves every other month to raise roots and promote the oil content of the leaves. In addition, weeds should be removed in time to avoid competition.
