In family-scale pig raising, single-head pig raising can also achieve good economic benefits under good management. However, because the feed for raising pigs is disposable, it is very wasteful. If comprehensive feeding is adopted, the one-time utilization of feed can be transformed into multi-level value-added utilization, and the economic benefit will be better.

Common production modes are as follows:

(1) Integrated feeding of pigs and fish: Raising pigs with feed and feeding fish with pig manure can save the bait cost of fish, increase the yield of fish, and play a complementary role, thus giving full play to comprehensive benefits.

(2) Chicken-pig-fish integrated feeding: chicken manure is used as a part of pig feed, pig manure is used as bait for fish, duckweed is fed to pigs in fish sugar, and fish sugar mud can also be used as fertilizer for planting, forming a benign ecological cycle of chicken-pig-fish-grain-grass.

(3) Pig-processing combination mode: processing by-products such as distiller's grains, sugar factories, flour mills, soy sauce factories and tofu shops are utilized. As pig feed, it can save a part of pig feed and increase the income of pig processing.

(4) Pig-fruit combination mode: planting various feed crops in the gap between fruit trees to feed pigs and fertilizing fruit trees with pig manure can not only reduce fertilizer expenditure, but also reduce the cost of pig feed, so as to achieve a double harvest of pigs and fruits.
