Extended data:
On June 1936, Guangdong warlord Chen and Guangxi warlords Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi jointly launched the Guangdong-Guangxi Incident against Chiang Kai-shek. Hu Lancheng published a series of political articles in Liuzhou Daily, actively advocating the split between Guangdong and Guangxi and the central government.
His political comments have attracted the attention of all parties, and Wang Jingwei's systematic China Daily also invited him to write an article. After his article was published, it was immediately translated by Japanese publications.
After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the fall of Shanghai, he was transferred to Hong Kong as the editor of South China Daily. Hu Lancheng's viewpoint that war is difficult and peace is not easy objectively provided a theoretical basis for Wang Jingwei to cooperate with the Japanese in treason, and won the appreciation of Wang Jingwei and his wife Chen Bijun.
Chen Bijun thinks he is a talented person and wants to meet him. I found out that he was still a small editor with a monthly salary of only 60 Hong Kong dollars. His family life is difficult to maintain, and his eye disease is so serious that he can't be called to see his wife.
For this reason, Chen Bijun severely criticized Bosheng Lin, who presided over the newspaper, thinking that he had buried his true talents. Bosheng Lin was frightened and apologized again and again, and immediately promoted Hu Lancheng as editor-in-chief.
From 65438 to 0937, at the invitation of Wang Jingwei, Hu Lancheng was the editor-in-chief of China Daily. 1939 12 officially went to ning, where he served as the second minister of the propaganda department of Wang puppet regime and the legal director of the puppet executive yuan, and became a member of the Wang group headed by Wang.
At that time, Wang Jingwei called him Mr. Lan Cheng and often asked him for advice, so he was called Wang Jingwei's literary courage. Hu Lancheng was full of ambition, boasting that he was the first political commentator and the peace movement ranked fifth. As a result, he offended Wang Jingwei, Zhou Fohai and Bosheng Lin. Hu Lancheng was quickly dismissed, arrested and imprisoned, and was finally driven out of the puppet regime of Wang and became a civilian.
